He has heard nothing on the Auburn end of this thing to suggest Malzahn intends to leave Auburn.

5/6 odds that Malzahn is our next coach.
Even money if Auburn beats Georgia.

I'm sure at 78 (2 years less than 80 supposedly) pat dye is always wasted. I would be.

78 is close to 80. So, I added 2 to get to 80. I'm not very good at math. So, I started with 80 and subtracted by 2 to get 78. I'm not a smart man but I know what love is.

Speculation and rumors abound that even IF he goes to the playoff and/or wins the natty he's Arkansas bound. My only hope at this point is a change of heart on his part afterwards or that this is a smokescreen to keep everyone distracted. Otherwise it's starting to look like GM is all but done.

I'd still rather us take a chance on a Norvell/Kiffin/Leach, I just can't imagine Gus replicating any level of success here no matter how hard I try. I can't see our current roster running his system with any type of cohesion and it'll be uggggggg-ly, just like we've seen at AU the last 3 1/2 years (up until midseason this year) but with lower rated athletes.

He's obviously a good recruiter, but is he prolific enough to get the studs required to make his offense work here? Another reason for their better than average success this year is their outstanding defense, good luck getting that here as well. What happens if/when the wheels fall off after 3 years here and we broke the bank and begged him to "come home?"

I admit it would be a majorly unfounded coup to steal him from AU right after he won a championship and the trolling would be glorious, plus it would make me feel a little better given the recruiting boost from JUST winning a championship. It would certainly shock the football world and make Arkansas the talk of the nation for a big coaching hire yet again, which will help with recruiting but ratchet up the pressure a million times. I just don't know what to think.
