Did you know... Only one program in the entire country won a bowl game, made the sweet sixteen, was a top 8 national seed in baseball, and a top 8 national seed in softball. That would be @razorbackfb @razorbackmbb @razorbacksb @razorbackbsb not Texas, not LSU, not Alabama, not Ohio State. Only A R K A N S A S. #woopig

We're the champs of almost getting there!! Print the shirts!!

Meanwhile create a list of teams in the SEC who have won championships in the big 5 since our last in 1994. By big 5 I mean Football, Men's & Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball.

Here I'll do it for you

Football
1996 - Florida
1998 - Tennessee
2003 - LSU
2006 - Florida
2007 - LSU
2008 - Florida
2009 - Bama
2010 - Auburn
2011 - Bama
2012 - Bama
2015 - Bama
2017 - Bama
2019 - LSU
2020 - Bama
2021 - Georgia
2022 - Georgia

Mens Basketball
1996 - Kentucky
1998 - Kentucky
2006 - Florida
2007 - Florida
2012 - Kentucky
2025 - Florida

Women's Basketball
1996 - Tennessee
1997 - Tennessee
1998 - Tennessee
2007 - Tennessee
2008 - Tennessee
2011 - A&M
2017 - South Carolina
2022 - LSU
2023 - South Carolina
2024 - South Carolina

Baseball
1996 - LSU
1997- LSU
2000 - LSU
2002 - Texas
2005 - Texas
2009 - LSU
2010 - SCAR
2011 - SCAR
2014 - Vandy (Even Vandy has won a Title since our last)
2017 - Florida
2019 - Vandy
2021 - Miss St.
2022 - Ole Miss
2023 - LSU
2024 - Tennessee

Softball
2000 - Oklahoma
2012 - Bama
2013 - Oklahoma
2014 - Florida
2015 - Florida
2016 - Oklahoma
2017 - Oklahoma
2021 - Oklahoma
2022 - Oklahoma
2023 - Oklahoma
2024 - Oklahoma

Truth is our programs for the last 30 years have been mediocre to good. Every coach in the above categories have been here long enough to have won a title in something outside of Cal, and he's on the list above at another school.

It's time to put a bulldog who cares about contending at the head of the athletic department ala Keith Carter at Ole Miss.

Bingo! One of the criticisms I hear often when it comes to poor lil arkiesaw football is how we just can’t compete for titles in football so there’s no reason to invest. Hell if the only reason to invest in a program is because of national title contention I say we disband all sports entirely. Because to this day we still have more football titles than baseball and are tied with basketball with a whopping singular title in both. We’ve got 2 national titles in the 3 major male athletic teams on campus. So what the frick are we even talking about when we bring up competing for championships. We don’t win championships in ANYTHING! Not even sec championships. (Except for track) So stop parroting this same lame arse defeatist excuse for the reason we can’t compete in football is we can’t afford to compete and it’s better to focus resources in other sports we can win championships in.

Especially when you see Ole Miss, Mississippi St., and Vandy winning titles since our last.

But let's just be ok with almost getting there and trips to the Weedeater Bowl.

The only hope of winning a title in the next 3-5 years is in Basketball and I still think it's slim.

Then people cry that ohh poor ol Arkansas doesn't have the NIL money.

We're pulling starters from WCWS teams in softball, and good ones at that. Maybe its time we look at the coach.

Dave gets whatever he wants up there. Still can't win one.

Football is a lost cause. I've given up hope on being anything other than 6-6 or worse every year.

IF the football teams is going to suck, you better win a title in one of the other 3-4 sports or you're going to be screwed.

Lol, flexing on baseball tournament seeding is so embarrassing. We were top eight the past two years and couldn't even make it out of our own Regional, so we'll see.

And I'd honestly love to forget that we went to a 6–6 bowl in football and that we considered that a good season.

All I was pointing out was that there is no other team in the country that has accomplished those 4 things. Listen I get that we would all like to win more but we could stand to appreciate the successes we do have just a bit more.

Yeah, I’ve been watching the program since the 60s and if I was going to jump ship it would have been long before now. It’s never been wine and roses but I’ve always enjoyed it have been proud of our program.

If folks want to go bandwagon another team please do.

I see your point with football and basketball, but the seeding is literally not an accomplishment lol. It's just a position to start the tournament, and we had that same position the last two years and still didn't make it out of a Regional. When someone in basketball gets knocked out of the first round as a two seed, they still just made the first round.

Go ask a&m if they would trade their baseball season for ours, ask them if they would have liked for their softball team to make it out of a regional. Season long success should never be de-valued. Obviously it would be great to win championships, I'm just saying we're more than just relevant. We're actually a quite successful athletic program, overall.

I appreciate the successes of our other programs. When we find some in football I will appreciate that too.

Winning the post season B-team scrimmage in Memphis or Shreveport or wherever we played is not success.

The one thing I remember from that game is the MVP hadn’t played all season and left the team immediately after

Only 44 teams won a bowl game least season. I'm betting the other 90 schools would love to have won a bowl game, of any kind.

Again I'm not saying to settle for mediocrity, I'm just pointing out that there are levels to success and Arkansas as a program has had an overall successful year.

All I see is qualifier, qualifier, and qualifier…

Did you know this guy is the only person to hit a home run in the MLB between 230pm and 245pm on Memorial Day 2025 that plays for the Phillies?

It is not a measure of success at all. It's on the level of preseason NFL games.

Go ask Ole MIss if they would trade their 10-3 football season where they finished ranked #11 and were in the conversation for the playoffs for our 6-6 season and our liberty bowl trophy.

Go ask Tennessee, Ole Miss, or Mississippi St, or Vandy if they would trade their Title in baseball for our performance over same timeframe.

Go ask LSU or South Carolina if they'd trade for Jim freakin Neighbors performance over the last 3 years.

Go ask Ole mIss if they'd trade for Deifels performance this year.

There is more than enough money on that hill to produce a title winning team in any of those sports but we continue to be happy with well we almost made it.

Until people quit going and demand more from Hunter things will remain the same. I haven't spent money on a ticket in years and don't plan on it any time soon unless things start changing.

the point being made is this... We are not far off in baseball, basketball, women's softball and trending up in a few other areas. The press of those three is sustainable for the program.

Glass half full folks, just need to keep moving on up, to the east side... to that DeLuxe apartment in the sky, i, i.....
