Our former savior is in a good game against NC State right now, if you didn't know.

He's currently down 13–17 with NC State knocking on the door. NC State seems to have a pretty good squad this year. Louisville may end up winning, but I always like it when he looks human in a weaker (well, not this year, but generally) conference. It reminds me we didn't fire the lone chance Arkansas would ever had at a championship.
Edit: 13–24

People seem to forget he lost 4 games last year with a Heisman trophy winner. You'd think they were a playoff contender with the talk he gets around here.

Arkansas has had two chances in the past 20 years to play for a NC.
Both times under Nutt.
Petrino had two chances in one season and was blown out in both.
Truthfully, Nutt should have won the SEC twice, 98 and 07. Both years he had a team good enough or should have won the SEC, but you have a loss to a Ms. State team after having Tennessee beat on the road and the bright idea of GodSon Fish returning punts preventing that.
The thing those two teams had in common wasn't offensive talent or nationally elite in-state talent, it was a top flight defense. The 98 team even had a former walk-on starting on the o-line.

When has he won the big game?
He lost to Rutgers when Louisville was going to back door their way in the the BCSNC most likely.
He grasps defeat from the jaws of victory against Bama in '10, loses in a track meet on the plains the same year.
Rises to #3 in the rankings after being blown out by Bama only to be blown out by LSU.
Playoff talk was drumming up last year after blowing out FSU only to be blown out by Clemson.
Many here are quick to claim coaches can't get their teams up for a big game, then praise Bob for being such a genius coach...

People are enamored with the spread since they've been done with Bret and forget it always got us beat by 30 in a game that mattered.
Lamar Jackson is a rare, rare talent and his career is pretty much been wasted. About to be 1-2 in conference and out of contention for anything.

I watched a few minutes of this game and noticed the same things we used to complain about. No defense, giving up huge plays, etc.
Great offense but the secondary acts like they've never played football before.

We were up 14–0 in that game at one point, too. After that TD I thought for a brief moment that we may actually pull it off and get the chance to make Georgia our bitch in the SECCG.

I can only imagine the melt if we dropped our former Wisconsin DC for another former Wisconsin DC. That would go over well.

Add the fact that he is from the Bielema coaching tree.

It'll be better when Petrino gets his players.
Year 5 is usually when it comes together for him.

this would be a great joke if he didnt have a heisman player with a 1-9 record against the last 10 ranked opponents and actually spent 5 years at any destination where he had to coach his own shitty players
edit: to be fair..i still laughed and upvoted, said shitty joke

I wonder the reaction among hog fans if Bielema decided to scrap the prostyle offense and go full spread like Gary Patterson did.

I'd rather we scrap our defense and go with Patterson's.
