Arkansas gave Bret Bielema a contract extension that would last through 2020. Man, things have changed since then.

Thankfully Bielema was gone regardless of if it was Long, JCP, or anyone else as AD. Thankfully it wasn't Long that got to make the next hire.

I'm still not sure he understands how important Texas recruiting is for Arkansas football.

I think if Long had held onto power somehow that Bert would have gotten one more year.

Fortunately Long didn't hold onto power and JCP was chomping at the bit to can Bert and hire someone to replace him.

If I was our AD I'd have JCP start hanging around the men's track team doing her Angel of Death impersonation to see if it motivates our coaches to step their game up.

Have they?

Bert never got blown out at home by a non P5 team or lost on the road to one if I recall.

We're losing just as much and in more embarrassing fashion.

Well yeah, Bert got fired right? That was the point. This wasn't some pro-Chad thread.

Rutgers was a G5 team when we lost to them in 2013. The Rutgers and Co State loss were very similar---- giving up a big lead on the road etc.

The North Texas loss was pretty f'n embarrassing.
