Man coverage and he never touched him at the line.

It's hard to break those habits taught by Petrino...

Didn't even make the travel roster.

The Louisville Purge is happening in Fayetteville.

And yet the Drivetime/sports talk mouthbreathers will never let go of the belief that Petrino left us in a good situation.

Dude left us J-Will, a few good defensive linemen, and a bunch of guys in the back seven who can't break the 2-deep. Thanks?

How do these people have jobs covering sports? It's my f'ing hobby and I know more about our teams than the guys that actually get paid to know.

Go look at the NFL draft picks that have come out of Arkansas the last few years. End of discussion. No, in relative terms, talent to speak of compared to the teams we're consistently looking up to.

Yes, but I'm being kind when I say that it's not exactly high quality.

UATV at one time had a sports show and a news show that ran once a week. It was awful. Always assumed in was journalism students.

Ugh, those were the worst.

Did you ever see that CNN Crossfire ripoff they did? I believe it was called Campus Crossfire -- nothing better than 20 year olds arguing over issues about which they know very little.

The sports show was terrible, as was the Traveler's coverage of the Hogs.

They were, which doesn't exactly reflect well on the program, considering they graduated.

You mad I'm not throwing roses at the feet of our journalism program?

Honestly, all journalism departments are sort of needless. Tony Barnhart tells a good story of how he sat in on a student lecture Connie Chung gave to journalism students UGA. When asked what journalism classes they she recommends they take, she said "none," and proceeded to explain that journalism just teaches how to report the news, but that you need to take classes outside of that major in disciplines like criminal justice, government, history, literature, etc. to truly become a well-rounded journalist and person and understand the historicity and root dynamics of issues. Otherwise, you're just copycatting your predecessors.

Our state sports media (and general media to a large extent) are essentially just ripping off what they see and read on ESPN and hear on shows like Finebaum and Cowherd. Half the time I feel like I'm reading Bleacher Report. They're genuinely unintelligent people who are just preaching to choirs, rehashing #hotsportstakes, and always reinventing the wheel.

Not everyone that works in the Arkansas sports media went to Arkansas. Hardly any of them did, actually.

And your only opinion of our journalism program comes from your friends and frat brothers who you admitted are stupid.

Journalism majors have to take 36 hours of journalism courses. You need 124 hours to graduate. So if you're condemning the journalism department because your dumb friends were able to graduate, you're actually indicting the entire university.

Arkansas is a good university. I'm sorry you don't feel that way.
