Better to be called cheap or bargain bin than over paid and over rated.
Mighty high elevation up there on that mole hill.
The faux outrage is great and all, but Pittman will be back next year, hiring Petrino ensured that, having bowl eligibility to point to is just a bonus for HY, who benefits most in this scenario...

Houston Nutt move.
I’d have won but my players suck, I mean I’m great… also I called that play brother.

The coaches and HY are lazy with the NIL. A few years back Marcus Elliot discussed some of my ideas on Drive Time and pitched them to the AD and Pittman. There's a group of us down here that could drum up a sizeable chunk of cash, but they are going to have to woo most of the others a little. I could give a shite, but they've made zero effort.
We've done quite well for the Governor. They spend too much time kissing arse of the big, big money in NWA while ignoring wealthy boosters south of LR and in the Delta that could really load the coffers if approached properly. They seem to think the state ends at LR.

It has nothing to do with Pittman coming back next year or what fans think. I'm sure they appreciated their coach calling them bargain bin goods after struggling all year. Very motivating.

In the press conference he said he told the team after the game that one more win was good enough to hold their heads up. A lot of people didn't like that. Pregame he basically said we were broke and had to go "blue light special" for the O-line in the pregame interview. I think that's what more people are mad about. It's true, but just a horrible look and something you probably shouldn't say.

You are Velcro shoes, and the only reason we have you is we can’t afford Nikes. Also I haven’t gave the donors any reason to buy us better shoes.

Nolan said he had Burger King all Americans to describe the 94 team. Being described as "second rate" seemed to work out ok for them.
If you want to find negative in the comment, you'll find it. If you want to watch players flat out be called out as sucking and being the reasons for losses, watch a Hugh Freeze press conference.

Or asked. Fatass has done nothing to grow the NIL, nor has HY. At least not with 99.999999% of the state.
Curious if Hawgeye has been wooed.

What’s down there? Gas, rice? New lithium mine money? What else? Not too familiar with all the cash in the delta..

Speaking of that, do we go after any Dillard's or Murphy money. I'll guarantee a Dillard's O-line could compete. I have them big boys decked out in some Dillard's and Banded duds. Recruits guys that love to duck hunt too. They make this shite too difficult.

Thought Dillard hit bankruptcy?

Down here? Oil, gas, timber and some like me that have made their money in other fields. Delta is mainly farmers, but you got some other secret millionaires that love the Hogs.
My point is there is more money out there. Much, much more but they'll have to work for it and it won't all be in one lick. Coordinate with people in areas around the state to get in those pockets.
The more pitching in, the more money that is possible and you don't have a few megadonors pulling all the strings. Or they can keep on like they have been. frick'em. I don't care anymore.

'If we had more money, we'd have paid for better players.'
Gee, thanks coach.

Just dumb. Seems Cal has been making moves but no one else.

Sure Sam has, he elevated the program to bowl eligiblity from being one one of the worst fbs team.
The timing was perfect with NIL, Arkansas could have easily capitalized on the program's new found success with a collective like OM's. Instead HY was trying to get an act of congress to shut NIL down.
Cal came here primarily because his friend guaranteed a substantial NIL budget. Kentucky is even further behind the pack than Arkansas, if you can believe that. Cal has been very smart with his friends money and isn't maxing the budget out or spending like a drunken sailor. He isn't over paying for the players.
Do you think anyone trusts Sam to do the same after the spending on Skittles?
Do you think HY is capable of fund raising for NIL?
I saw here that HY should hire a guy who's won at the fcs level, that is true if you want the guy who can do more with less. Truth is Arkansas needs someone with NFL front office knowledge like Cal has from his time in the NBA. Collectively and individually people aren't going to give money for it to be burned/waisted. Both will donate more if they feel it will be wisely spent...

Agreed.
We should lead the pack and hire a GM. That's what HY is supposed to be, but he obviously isn't up to the job.

Cal had to do all the NIL fundraising on his own at Kentucky, the day he left was the first day their collective went online.

I would rather be called Burger King all American than be called something stupid like what cold beer said.

As I’ve said for the past 3 years, we need a money guy. One who says we have X amount for 5 linemen, X for QB and X for Defensive Tackles but all money can be fudged for 5 star talent and performance.
He just goes around setting up duck hunt, fishing and golfing experiences with the head coach.
