I would imagine the d coordinator would have the say in who starts or not unless there was disciplinary action being taken.

Since we are having "what if" moments... What if, he had cursed out his Coordinators and refused to do something? What if he hit a chick? What if he got caught with PED's? What if... Who gives a crap.

You’re arguing with children throwing a temper tantrum.

Not that our fans don’t deserve to be upset, but people using anger to try to control the uncontrollable amuse me.

I mean, we don't know the reasoning behind this decision... So let's just pile on and make ish up.

Framing it as benching your star corner is ridiculous. I thought Pittman's whole schtick was culture. What does he actually provide us?

Dude, as I have said... All for letting him go. But let's play this game.

What he "doesn't" provide us.

1. Hammer down while looking like Chad cringe.
2. Embarrassing Harley with a Harlot rides.
3. Texting with his side piece in at a bowl game/
4. Thugs running drugs and guns.

What he does provide us.
1. A 9 win season
2. Bowl wins
3. A little better recruiting, and a 11th place portal haul.
4. Honesty, I mean... admitting such things in his presser in stead of coach speak was refreshing.
5. Hiring incredible Defensive staff.

I get the anger, and frustration but again.. I am a glass half full kind of guy. Let it play out and see the most likely outcome... being a firing of Pittman. But what other choice is there at this time?

agreed. We don’t need to know everything. But if I star player is out for any sort of disciplinary reasons like yiy listed above just say it. This isn’t telling classified secrets about our defense or covering up an injury. This just makes you sound like a dumbass who can’t make personnel decisions

just think we forget who we have been in the past 10+ years sometimes... A member of my family always said, "You could fall into a pile of chit and come out with a gold bar."

Just had a conversation with a longtime tailgating friend.

His question was what has happened to Razorback football?

My answer, we absolutely lived through the best times as a football fans.
Broyles, Hatfield, Holtz, Nutt and then Petrino. Was there some Crowe and Ford mixed in, absolutely.

But then Bert, Chaggie and now Pittman, gimme a break.

it sucks, to be sure... But surely... Good Gracious, we will be better sooner rather than later. I mean, we have to right?

I am thankful that Pittman took the job when he did, because quite frankly, nobody really wanted it. Ole Miss was in a better position talent wise and Kiff would not have done better here until this season imho. Dion was not an option having never coached, recruited in college... He is a loose cannon, just wait and see.

We were without many options...took a jump and it was good for a bit. I think he is way over his head now, wish it were different. But if he can't win 3 of the next 4, he needs to be gone.. .Probably needs to be gone in any circumstance really.

you’re probably right but his performance is all I’d ask of a head coach at Arkansas. He’s went 6-5 (Covid), 10-2, 8-5 and is now 6-2. Consistently win 6 games with a chance at 10 once every 4/5 years. If ole miss can do it so can Arkansas

Don't bring realistic expectations here. We will grind to get to 6 every year!

Arkansas Razorbacks
Coach: Sam Pittman

Buyout: $11-16 million

Skinny: Heralded for a nine-win campaign in his second season in 2021, Arkansas has slipped this year, dropping to 2-6 after an ugly 7-3 loss to Mississippi State on Oct. 21. That led to Pittman firing offensive coordinator Dan Enos eight games into a three-year contract (the school owes him nearly $3 million in a buyout). Would Arkansas then spend more money to get rid of Pittman and start a coaching search? Some don’t think it happens. Also, Pittman’s buyout is an interesting situation. Based on language in his contract, the buyout is contingent on his overall record since the 2021 season. If he’s below .500, the school owes him 50% of remaining pay. If he’s above or at .500, the school owes him 75% of the pay. That’s a $5 million difference. Since 2021, Pittman is 18-16.
