The good news is that Hunter Elliott is no longer available for their next two games should we win one against them. They'll have their ace available but he is a righty so that does give a little bit of hope. I dont know who they would throw next game.

Announcers saying 3 years isn't long enough to really develop a pitcher? My arse.

Well it took Kopps like 5 years lol. Evan Lee making it to MLB might prove there is some truth to that. Though I guess each pitcher is different. Keuchel was good here but wasn't an MLB all-star like he developed into either.

Did DVH just give up and start rotating pitchers in and out to save arms?
Starting Morris was a bizarre tactic. Smells of overthinking it. I probably would have started Evan Taylor, if wanting to start a lefty. Once the game got to 8-3 it was essentially over, no need to waste pitching.

The blowout was somewhat of a blessing. Obviously a win is preferred, but a close loss would have had us waste some good pitching.

obviously have to beat auburn first, but the most likely starter for Ole Miss the following game would be Diamond, a 6.89 ERA Righty.

If we make it through those 2 games, we likely wouldnt face elliott unless in spot duty and Delucia would also be on short rest after going 114 pitches Saturday

Arkansas just doesn't have the arms to stretch it for three more games. I think Arkansas has enough for one more game and after that it is duct tape and bubble gum pitching.

Yeah we’re gonna need Stillwater Arkansas to show up the next couple of days to have a chance. I feel good about noland on Thursday if we get there.

If they can get past Auburn then they need to bring a high level intensity to Ole Miss because they are going for the final kill this time.

I would tend to agree, but I'm not sure Ole Miss does either beyond Elliot and delucia. I would doubt we would see either throw another 100 pitches against us this week. Usually delucia has 7-8 days rest after going >100 pitches and we would play them 4 and 5 days after he did that. Elliott would be 2 and 3 days removed from throwing 100 pitches

I think it is a very tall order to win 3 in a row but certainly not impossible.

It all hinges on what we get from McEntire tonight. And the offense, I guess.

As long as Mac is on and can give us 5 or 6 I think we'll hit tonight.

We'll see. We only scored 8 total runs in the super regional and nobody complained because the pitching was excellent. We've scored 5 runs or fewer in three of four. We're likely going to need to bust out for four or five games in a row to have a chance at winning the whole thing.
