While he's frustrating, he generally plays adequate defense and gets on base at a plus .400 clip. You create runs by getting guys on base. Diggs and borphen don't do that.

He’s the 9 hole hitter. If your 9 hole hitter is getting on base almost half the times he’s at the plate, it sets it up for the top of the order and you’re still getting the same result if he’s getting knocked in. That’s still valuable to have at the bottom of the lineup despite the production, or lack there of, when he actually does swing the bat.

We were incredibly patient and worked a ton of deep counts this weekend. It was really great to see and had to have been frustrating to watch as a unc fan.

I knew Moore was struggling and has turned into a player who was basically all glove and no bat, but I didn’t realize he'd approached 'just edged out by Gregory for worst bat in the lineup' level of bad.
On a side note, Gregory's .158 slugging percentage is so bad it's damn near historic.
