Yep another opportunity squandered.

in all seriousness, What do they have left in the tank for pitching vs Us?
How do we see this going?
I read somewhere today that the winner of this game is usually 80% chance of taking the regional. Then It occurred to me, if we win this game it is 100% chance of taking the regional.

Don't forget, if Gregory just catches the fricking ball, that's two outs and we have a great chance of winning.

Does it matter who they have going? They’ll most likely look like a future Cy Young winner with our luck in these situations.

I don't want Ramage to see the light of day. Give me Morris, Zeb, Smith, and Mac for an inning.

I don’t either, but DVH inexplicably keeps trotting him out in high leverage situations.

OSU a very slight favorite at -120 vs -110 for hogs.

Who’s going to start? Vermillion and just hope and pray he gives us some respectable innings? I’m down to roll with some guys that haven’t been given much of a shot yet. Trest, Starks, Adamiak, Ledbetter. I’m not even sure if the last two are traveling and I’m confident they have no chance of playing.

Really don’t think it matters who we start…likely be an inning a pitcher and hope we roll someone out there who can give us 2-3 innings at some point along the way.
Vermillion May be the best option to roll out there first. I thought Trest looked decent last night too. Maybe Morris starts us off as well. Dunno…I’d say Zeb and Morris are our likely first options. Hell, even Wiggins May be an option for #1 too.

Morris is definitely the best pitcher we have that has much left in his arm.

This has game 3 vs. Oregon State or game 3 vs. NC State written all over it.
The team will undoubtedly be in shock after thinking they had it wrapped up with Turner’s homer (much like we thought we had it in 2018 until the ball hit the ground), and we have nothing left in our bullpen just like game 3 last year.
In both instances, DVH coached extremely tight like someone in shock. I would be floored if we somehow squeaked out a win tonight.
It really doesn’t matter anyway. OK State may be on fumes but they’re playing with house money and their piss is hot. We didn’t help matters yesterday by not being able to chase their starter until the 7th, so we didn’t really apply any pressure to their pitching or stretch their bullpen to the extent we could or should have. Compounding that fact is that Trevor Martin was able to go 7 innings against Missouri State yesterday, which allowed their pen a bit of rest while ours got stretched.

I agree that we haven’t stretched OSU’s pitching as much as we’d like but it’s not like anyone they have has proven to be dynamite.
Best case for the Hogs tonight is to turn this game into a men’s league softball score and hope we can outhit them somehow.

I would disagree based on our offense putting up 30 runs the last two games. I think lost in all this right now is the fact that we have been smoking the ball this regional.

Did not seem that way watching the presser last night after the game. Wallace and Turner seemed up-beat and understand the task at hand.

See, I think the opposite. My belief is that if Holliday is bringing in the 3rd baseman two games in a row to try and get innings, they are very thin. We hammered their All American two nights ago. They have a righty heavy staff and they threw their best lefty last night.
Maybe I am in the minority, but I like our chances if we can get just some mediocre pitching.
The ball is flying out of the ballpark and the air is thin over central and NE Oklahoma today after the storms rolled through last night. I think we see another high scoring game that we hope we come out on top of.

Also, those of you who have not been at the games...travel roster bullpen who has been trotting down are listed below. Just as an FYI to everyone of guys that would be available and who traveled.
Noland - not available
Wiggins
Smith
Trest
Tole
Ramage
McEntire - not available
Vermillion
Morris
Starks
Ledbetter
Tygart - not available(?)
Pleiman
Taylor - not available(?)
May be one or two more that I may have missed, but that is a pretty solid rundown of all the arms available.

Arkansas should have won last night period. The bats are alive now but we have seen how inconsistent they become all year. Okie State has the advantage here.
I would try and save the best arms for the later innngs because Okie State is gonna put up a lot of runs and you need some decent arms to stop the bleeding and hope you can out hit them towards the end.

I’m feeling ok about this game. It helps we are hitting really well

I figure we see some combo of Morris, Smith, Wiggins, Zeb, Ramage, and Trest. I could see Morris starting since he’s been light on innings this regional. Oddly enough, the one who scares me the most in that group is Wiggins due to both control concerns and because OSU was barreling up his fastball pretty well, and when you do that to a guy who throws 98 it’s going to land in the parking lot.
I agree with all four of the NA’s you mention above. Taylor and Tygart have had heavy workloads, and McEntire ate a ton of innings last night and gave everything he had. Noland may have something left but he’s probably mentally done after what happened last night.
Highly doubt we see Ledbetter or Pleiman unless we’re in dire straits and the well is dry.

I’d start zeb and hope he can get through the first 2 innings. They’ll square him up but he’ll at least give the defense a chance. Bring in Wiggins or Smith when you really need a strike out.
Gonna be really tricky on when to pull guys before they inevitably fall off the cliff. Did don’t see anyone on that list that can give you more than 2 innings.
I’d also start brohofen. Oklahoma kid. His defense and bat can’t be any worse plus he adds power to a game that’s going to be a slugfest.
