Pitching is always the question mark. Outside of Pallette, there really isn't anyone proven to be a quality starter. Wiggins, Hagen Smith, Heston Tole all have the talent, but haven't proven anything as far as weekend starter status in the SEC.

Someone always makes a huge leap forward on the pitching staff. Last year is was kopps. In my mind before last year kopps and ramage were the same guy.

Not sure who it’ll be but probably one of the guys you mentioned or maybe noland or starks. I guarantee you they’ve thrown thousands of pitches on the simulator optimizing everything.

Doctors and DVH believed it wasn't as serious as it looked and that he just needed some time to heal naturally.

They should have gotten a second opinion.

They didn’t “put it off” After several evaluations it was determined that there wasn’t a tear in his UCL. A doctor isn’t going to perform Tommy John surgery as a preventative measure

They did… several

He has been throwing over the winter with no pain and no loss of velocity.

Then all of a sudden feels pain and needs surgery?

I bet this moves to Noland to Friday night starter at the start of the season since he is the only pitcher with that kind of experience. I hope a lot of the new guys get their fair share of chances.

That's how injuries work, yes.

No. It’s an all of a sudden “pop” and arm goes numb, now need surgery.

Pallette had several opinions and there was no tear.

It is what it is.

Vermillion is available as well. Started a lot last season prior to him having some arm issues.

We aren’t short on experience, but the guys with the biggest upside are inexperienced. Probably bring them along slowly and hope they’re ready for SEC play.

Yes, his tendon tore this time. He has flat armed mechanics (they have been working on correcting it) , he has a small frame, he throws with a high velocity, and he has an unreal spin rate. All of these combined make him predisposed for an elbow injury. It was almost a when, not if, situation.

Having surgery now vs 6 months ago has no bearing on this season. He would have been out for this year anyway, and he will probably go in the top 2 rounds of the draft either way.

I forgot about Zeb, but I kind of have lost faith in him as well. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong.
