Same here. Most fans are idiots and say stupid stuff, both positive and negative. You can't have the type of support our baseball team gets (attendance, money, facilities, etc) and expect to be isolated from criticism.

Consider me shocked that DVH is changing the rotation this late in the season. But does it still count as “starting a midweek guy against the #4 seed” if he starts in Game 1 of the final series of the regular season?

I really think DVH is setting up the rotation for the regional and supers. It could be a great strategy. Throw you 6th best pitcher against the 4 seed in the region. Then in the supers your pretty much conceding that Noland isn’t as good as our opponent’s ace but he’s better than anybody’s #2.
Plus putting Smith in the pen really shores up the back end of our pitching. Gives us an opportunity to win 2 close games in a weekend instead of one.
