Really good hitting and fielding team. Really good record away from home and have been one of the hottest teams in the country lately.
They mainly throw just 5 guys that are solid but not super impressive numbers wise as a group.
I would think unless the bullpen/starters show up big, going to need the bats to wake up big time.

They lost series to: GT, Miami, Louisville, Clemson, Notre Dame
After losing the above they then did the below:
Won: UNC, FSU, PITT and WF
ACC Tourney: Beat Pitt, lost to UNC, Beat GT and lost to Duke in the final.
Went undefeated in the La Tech regional, beating LA Tech 2 in a row, which is impressive. Pretty shaky to start the year but came on really hot mid way through.
They have 4 guys with 11 HRs or more and 4 guys batting over .300.
Team fielding percentage is .983

Their ace looks pretty solid but the rest look manageable.

So after getting caught up on the Nebraska board. It's really only a few butthurt fans posting stupid things. Kind 9f like Dale Denton couldn't wait to start posting in the game thread until we took the lead.
Most of the Husker fans were just disappointed at the end of a great season for them. We know that feeling.
From what I've seen of the NC State fans, they seem alright.

NC State rolled through the Ruston regional. They beat Alabama 8-1 then took out LA Tech 8-3 then 14-7. Definitely not going to be easy

Copied my reply from the other post below. As everyone else has said, this will be a tough one.
They only used 5 pitchers in the regional. All 5 guys can go over 100 pitches. Their Friday, Saturday and Sunday guys are all right handed. Their closer and mid week starters are leftys. As you mentioned ERA is decent but not spectacular. Strikeouts per 9 innings as a team ranks 118th, so they do allow teams to put the ball in play and their fielding makes up for it usually. Past those 5 main guys, the rest of the bullpen is very unproven and barely used but in mop up duty. They also are excellent at fielding. Rank 3rd in the nation in fielding %.
Their slugging percentage is very high, nearly .500 so they can sling bats and rank 6th in homeruns per game, but OBP not nearly as good nationally (94th in the country) and 101st in BB's, meaning they likely swing at a fair bit of bad pitches when they aren't crushing the ball.
If we can get past those 5 pitchers and get them swinging at trash then we should be ok. We could be in trouble if they can get 2 of those guys to go 100-120 pitches each over the weekend.
I think we match well with them in the field and batting, and our pitching gives us a slight edge, but it could be a tight series
