who do we have to pitch the rest of the series....
Kopps took too many tonight right? Dude has to be tired.
Who is up next?

That's a big win. This is the most mature team I can remember.

Kopps could give us another inning or 2 if needed Sunday

I could see Kopps again on Sunday maybe for an inning, but I agree that he does look tired. Other top relievers are Costieu, Wiggins, Lockhart, maybe Zeb, maybe Noland, Morris, Tole.
We desperately need Pallette to eat some innings tomorrow. We used our two best relievers tonight.

Then there's the bull pen

Thankfully, Tenner used their best bullpen arm tonight as well and got to over 50+ pitches.

Reposting what I wrote after Sunday’s win about concerns re: Kopps’s workload and what our pitching strategy has sort of devolved into:
quote:
Kopps is an absolute warrior, but I'll repost what I said Friday night in terms of concern for what we're asking of him after he put up 7.1 and 111 pitches this weekend.

DVH obviously knows more than I do, but I'm a bit concerned about the amount of work we're asking from Kopps on a regular basis.
Just feels like our pitching strategy has devolved a bit into hoping our starter goes 5, biting our fingernails through 3-6 outs with a reliever or two, and trotting Kopps out for the 8th and 9th (and that's not when we're asking him to pitch 3).
I'm concerned that if this continues into the postseason that we might blow Kopps on long relief one night and not have him for a critical high leverage save situation the next.

With Tenner's No. 2 guy being a lefty, I wouldn't be surprised if Webb and Nesbit are starting tomorrow.

Ahem! Mizzou beat Moo State tonight, Vandy lost as well...

We suck against lefties regardless of who's starting

Would really like to get this W today and clinch series. TN throwing a lefty worries me a bit. TN has lost a couple Saturday league games and has two other Saturday games that have gone 11 innings, so others have gotten to this pitcher.
