I’d hate to face this lineup. Literally no lead is safe for the other team. Reminds me of that Florida lineup a few years back when they won it all and had Pete Alonso and it seemed like 1-9 in that lineup could just rake. Anytime you get a guy in scoring position with this team you feel good about whoever’s at the plate to get them in.

Whenever we are down, I just say "don't worry, we'll win"

Ends up proving me right more often than not. It's amazing how clutch they are

Reminds me of the "we play today, we win today" adage the Yankees of the late 90s and early 2000s used.

Getting a walkoff hit after the opponent has intentionally walked the batter ahead of you has to be one of the most gratifying feelings in sports.

My son once had TWO batteries in front of him walked to get to him.

He smoked it to right center.

Ballgame.

As he ran past the opponents dugout he looked at the coach and pointed and yelled great decision coach.

I have never laughed so hard in my laugh.

Normally I might tut tut about sportsmanship and what not, but having 2 batters intentionally walked to get to you — especially in a crucial situation — is an emphatic display of disrespect.

He had every right to go full FU mode and rub it in the opposing coach's face.

We had a talk in front of his mother about how it wasn't really the best display, then in private he and I did what a father and son do.

Need more info on this... did they walk two to load the bases when there was only a runner at third and less than two outs? If so, it was probably the right move in order set up force outs and a potential dp to get out of the inning.

2 outs, runner on 3rd. Kid in front of my son had struck out 2x that day (but he's huge), kid in front of him had hit a home run and a double.

My son had 2 hits on the day, both singles.

My best guess is they just figured he was the easier out of the 3 of them. He wasn't the biggest kid and didn't got it the farthest but he was dependable and a good hitter under pressure. I know I'm biased but I knew without a doubt it was over when they put him up. Kid still loves pressure. Again, I know I'm biased.
