No I don't have an argument Dale. I'm just saying that yes the Oline is atrocious. But its not fair to put the blame all on Morris at this point. I believe it will get better. I don't know if Morris will be the guy here or not. But I do like his recruiting. And I refuse to judge his coaching while he's doing it with Berts guys. BC Bert was a fricking clown.

Of course not. But we play roles on here ya know. Well, some of us do anyways.

If you judged me by the way I act on here you'd probably think I'm posting from some psych ward somewhere, but I'll have you know I function just fine IRL. And I don't ever fight with anyone. Verbal, physical or otherwise. I'm pretty even keeled

Never happened. I said Cornelius needed to spend more time working out and less running his mouth about the fans. After I said I was twice his age in better shape than him (which is still 100% true) you called me an internet bad arse, or something to that effect. I never tried to start a physical anything with you.

I'd rather not judge anyone. I just like to talk about my Hogs somewhere that we have the freedom to do so. And without a doubt Morris has earned some of the criticism that has come his way.

But imo we should all take a step back and look at what he walked into here. With a few exceptions the offensive line seemed to get a little better last year.

I hate where the program is now. Except baseball. But as to the OP I just don't know that Morris has had enough time to fix the oline problem. He lost what 3 starters from what was already a bad line last year ? He had 2 months or less to recruit his first year with a very limited number of scholarships.

The offensive line play should improve statistically over what it was just due to the change in scheme. It will take time, but this misdirection heavy stuff Morris runs will mask a lot of our issues.

Agreed Boar.. Right now I'm really concerned about the running back position. We only recruited one and barely got him from what I hear. I hope he doesn't take too long to get ready. Our only other two good options seem to be prone to injury.

You can judge a coach's ability to coach based on what he does with the players he inherits.

So far Chad and staff have shown to be be severely lacking in ability or are too hard headed to adjust to their personnel.

His connections and ability to recruit Texas has never been questioned, in fact this is what has led him to be hired for Head Coaching jobs.

The main issue in his ability to coach is the vast difference in his team's production and display of sound coaching on the field when he went from OC to HC roles, same can be said for Gus. Not everyone has the ability to micromanage a program, no one is really expected to do so, he was given the budget to hire chief so he wouldn't have to do so.

It's really simple for Chad, put a competent looking offense of the field, even if you have to run the fricking wishbone to do so. Ensure Chief and Caldwell have what then need on the other side of the ball, have some one do the same with special teams. Its really that simple, you can run your fancy RPO spread when/if you get the right pieces, until then look like you know how to coach what you got on that side of the ball.

If your offense is centered around the dual threat QB, then get that QB, even if he's a 2 star. Don't sign 5 star statues of a QB who can't put the R in RPO and think you can make any QB succeed in your system after what we seen last year. Chad, you're not Gus, you don't have a school you can flirt with to get a contract we can't get out of, aggie already has that with Jimbo.

Right on.

I spent too much time as a younger man carrying heavy backpacks many miles for the US Army.

I still get out and play ball, but my knees won't allow me to go hard in the paint anymore.

This is all true.

We really needed to keep Maleek Williams. He is the prototypical back a guy like Morris needs to be successful. Goes back to the same misdirection philosophy. You're putting your back in harm's way more often by isolating him in space against blitzing backs. You need a bruiser.

Well the next time the job is open maybe you can apply. Some coaches adjust to their team other expect the team to adjust to what they are doing. Some believe that in the long term it will pay dividends and that sacrificing that for short term wins is short sighted.

I don't know what team you were watching last year but I didn't see much talent at all. Lets just agree to disagree. And if you are as much a Hog fan as you are a Baylor fan then lets both hope that Morris gets it done here.

I heard Chad's rhetoric, words he chose to put out there when he didn't have to.

So far he's been a typical aggy, all hat and no cattle.

You're going to give Morris grief over statements, when we're barely removed from the colossal arse who made a living spouting shite out just to watch it splatter?

'Here to beat Alabama'
'Listen Texas HS coaches...'
'HUNH is baaaad for players and CFB'

Try remembering that worthless piece of shite when you're pointing fingers at coaches and 'rhetoric'.
