We must have hit submit at the same time. I'll move my commentary over this way.

Steinmetz should be kicked in the nuts for this bonehead move. Its like our campus is run by idiots. No doubt do I appreciate the contribution Nolan made to our university but he also has a history of running his mouth way to much. So what happens when Mike loses out this year, or doesn't hit 18 wins next year? Are you willing to let Nolan roast you and demand his name be pulled from the court because we're a racist university after we let Mike go? Just freaking idiots.

Does this mean we have to keep Mike longer?

Au contraire. Nothing is unanimous among Razorback fans.

Once again I’ll mentuon how the court naming issue is overshadowing the current state of the HC and basketball program not performing.

Very interesting timing, IMO.

It also lines up with someone introducing the proposal into that state legislature recently.

I don’t know why I even tune into Razorback basketball anymore.

Shame it took this long, his 94 championship is worth more than all the other school titles combined and then some.

It means he's 1000% back next year.

I don't know why our fanbase, called redneck SOB's,turds and assholes by richardson after supoorting him through thick and thin, shouldn't want to dedicate the whole arena to him.

Makes no sense.

I’m fine with them naming the court after him. Right now is a horrible time to do it. Should have been done years ago. Not when his protege is on the verge of losing his job.

He’s still the coach who said things like

“I didn’t come over here on a slave ship so I expect to be treated differently”

He’s still the coach who sued the school for 8 million dollars on the basis that racism got him fired. A suit that he lost, but still painted the Universirty in a bad light

And he is still the coach that always claimed “The playing field wasn’t level, and that Houston was always treated better than him”

And he is still the hothead that said “If they pay me my money I’ll leave tomorrow”

And my fear is having to fire mike will lead to the opening of a lot of wounds that had somewhat healed.

It won’t be pretty in this age of SJW victim mentality for Mike and Nolan to be our screaming that racist Arkansas school ran poor Mike out of town.

I'm not fine with it.I was a big fan of his when he was hired because I wanted uptempo basketball like Houston ran with Phi Slamma Jamma.

I argued with folks for keeping him, wanting us to give him a chance for him to install his players. When he lost he said it was his fault and when he won he said it was his players who won.I liked the polka dots and the way he did things, even tough his daughter was dying.

But he changed after his success and the losses were no longer his.The game changed.

Eddie Sutton was about to be fired when he crawled to Kentucky, this wasn't a racial thing.Coaches get fired every year.

To make it what nolan made it is inexcusable to me,not because he isn't white, but because he trashed our program over his ego.

That's just my two cents,I hate it came to that.I was a Nolan fan..

glad we did this. Nolan deserves the court to be named after him.

with that said it gives interesting PR play. Nolan can't call racism with his name on the court and Mike underperforming. at least not and be taken seriously.
