Shows up at Arkansas, and correct me if I’m wrong, but our TE play hasn’t been that impressive in his time here.

Dowell is a good ol Arkansas boy but I’ve never been impressed with him.

He's not had much to work with at TE in his short time here.

He's also averaging .90 grade recruits which is elite for Arkansas and a big reason why Hasz, Easter and Hamm are committed in our current class.

JC Shurbutt, the premier SC Insider, just said he’s 97% sure Beamer has hired Dowell. Pretty wild. At least they get to test drive him out for us before we hire him to be OC.

Yeah the dude somehow convinced three 4* TEs to come play for an offense that doesn’t really use the TE in the passing game. He’s clearly an elite recruiter that we’ll definitely miss. Ideally he has success there and we can hire him back once Briles actually does leave.

Are any of the three of Hasz, Hamm, or Easter early enrollees and/or planning to sign on the 12/21 ESP?

I’ve been saying the next offense we will run will be more like Georgia/Michigan. Ground and pound two or more tight end sets. Most the passing going to tight ends. And then just a few clutch possession grabbing receivers.

Everyone has switched to smaller linebackers the size of old defensive backs, quick but not big enough to tackle tight ends.

Ketron Jackson might be withdrawing from the portal now.

L Hasz and Hamm were expected to sign 12/21 and enroll early but if Loggains goes I see that changing. Easter should sign early (everyone committed does now) but he's not enrolling until summer.

Same goes with Scherer and LB commits - could get dicey.

I think most of this is trying to get bigger NIL checks, which good for them, but also seems like we need to have a NIL collective meeting with every player. Like end of the year raises with employees.

Probably need to be above 3rd string before it’s a big one.

Wouldn’t be surprising. He’s talented no doubt but in the portal world you can only keep so many guys at a position happy, especially RB. It seems as if Dubinion is the next guy after Rocket and you have the freshman coming in who’ll get touches.

That does seem potentially to be the case as their 247 folks are walking it back now.

I'm hearing from a very good source that things may not be as far along with Dowell Loggains as first thought. I am not saying he may not end up being the guy, but it sounds like the train is not as far down the tracks as it seemed last night.
