If I counted correct 13 of them leaving or portal as of now...

The entire point is if the Arkansas Razorbacks (Talent composite: #25) have an offensive line that can't get a 1 yard push against Liberty's (Talent composite: #142) defensive line, I'm looking at O-line coaching and personnel before I'm looking at the OC.
So do you think Pitt boss has got lazy or that he's delegating too much to his Oline coach? Or are you saying our Jimmy's and Joe's aren't cutting it despite the talent composite?

Guys we aren't going to go through another season with 2 punters on scholarship. Fountain always has guys coming in as PWO along with scholarship K, LS, P.
Fletcher was evaluated as can't miss punter last year and given a scholarship so writing was on the wall for Bauer.
Now, will Fletcher produce better on the field than this year? - TBD.

He seemed to miss a lot

Not strange at all. He lost his job to a punter that he’s considerably better than. Good for him and I hope he finds a great landing spot.

Which goes back to player evaluation by Scott Fountain.

One is a freshman and one is a 5th year player.
Easy math.

None of them should say that when they quit.

The offensive line are good down hill runners but are weak in pass protection. They just aren't as athletic as some offensive lines in the SEC.
The backups are more athletic and would be better assets against the ends and blitzes but lack experience. Hardest positions to develop. This is why you don't see true freshmen starting.

If I had to guess they told him his services were no longer needed. He was asked to leave by the coaches that’s why he said he’ll “forever be a Razorback” wasn’t his choice to leave.

That would be my guess as well. That’s usually the case when they say they’re grad transferring even though they’ve been a starter.

NIL/Portal is killing college football.
These changes were made at our lowest point in history and I just don't see us clawing our way out of this hole.
Say goodbye to depth because your good players will leave to get a ring and your bench players will leave to get playing time. Then when a starter goes down you're fricked, just like this year with Catalon and Poole.
And fans won't get as invested in players because they're cycling out all the time. It works when you're winning (basketball) but it sucks when you're not.
NIL/Portal drove a wedge between the haves and have nots. When the new rules took effect our basketball team was in a good position to take advantage. Now we're stealing players like Brazile and Council.
In football the exact opposite has happened. We're the ones getting poached. We're one of the feeder teams.

Also he’s leaving as a grad transfer, meaning he presumably got his degree from Arkansas. So yeah, he absolutely can say he’ll forever be a razorback.

So, something Freeze said
“Really what kind of spurred it on, truthfully, is some of the texts I’ve gotten,” Freeze said. “And I’ve watched them and I’m like, ‘Wow, they’re really good at what they do.’ Probably better than me, and I think I’m pretty good at it. I’m honest. When I watched some of their games, I think I could really help them with their red zone — and they could really help us with everything else. So I’m wide-open right now and looking forward to having those discussions with these candidates.”

LSU was the first. If you happen to have players commit to your school who view it as a second or third choice well the portal changes that. They will transfer to the programs they grew up on, offered more money, want to be closer to home or simply want to win championships.
People who favored this portal without enough restrictions are going to regret it.

It is a double edge sword. If you are a winner it is an asset but if you are a loser then it is much harder to build depth as more prestigious schools will raid those depth charts.

Sitting at 6/6 we will essentially become a development/feeder program for upper echelon programs... If we don't change something major soon.
Yes, 6/6 programs have a few incredible players. It is what it is I suppose....
