I'd like to know what the deal was with not having this game on the SEC network. You know what they played instead? An SEC fricking NOW rerun.

Verizon doesn't have the equipment nor the staff to air anything.

Basically playing a game there is a huge liability for exposure and such

Another reason this LR BS needs to end. And as I always say, I grew up in South AR.

LOL, well hell, neither does Bud Walton nor DWRRS... Usually crews come in (with equipment) to televise sporting events. Very few IF ANY venues have their own equipment of staff to air anything. There would have been no problem getting it produced in LR, KATV used to do it all the time before the IMG days. And did a damn good job of it. Also, for the last several years (and maybe this game too), the Verizon Arena game has been the largest crowds the Hogs played in front of during the non conference part of the schedule.

2014 studio upgrade in BWA

SEC schools cumulatively have spent $25 million to $30 million on their campuses — ranging from $700,000 at

Florida to $7 million at Arkansas, depending on their needs — so they can produce events for the network at TV quality. ESPN’s operations experts, led by Rex Arends and Scott Hecht, worked with the schools, visiting some campuses as many as six times since last summer.
