No shame going to the NIT, it's miles ahead of where we were under Pel. We're making good, visible progress.

I'd say we were one road win away.
If we won at Mizzou we are 20-11 and an NCAA lock IMO.
Still, we shouldn't have lost to aTm and SCar on the road, teams that we are better than. You could throw Vandy in that mix as well.

I don't know if those games would have made the team a sure NCAA lock, they would have probably hinged around the "last 4" either in or out with the aTm, Carolina, and Vandy games, they certainly would not have hurt.
The Wisconsin and ASU games would have helped more IMO, both of those would have helped make them a lock with the others helping seeding.
JMO.

I like the attitude of Mike's recruits WAY better than Pel's. I think we're in good shape.

So many games we chunked it in on that were winnable. At least 6 losses could have been wins.

true true. however 3 more wins is a stretch. I like Young and Powell riding the pine if they're not going to be here next year. Need to get some younger guys more minutes and needed experience.

Jimmy Dykes tweeted earlier that Arkansas still needed more wins to get in the NIT. I think he gets dumber every year.
Trey Schaap is really stupid as well. He said today "If Arkansas wins the SEC Tourney, I think they get a NIT berth"
He has no clue what he is saying unless it's about Golf or 1A Girls HS Basketball.

Anyone who has even remotely kept up with NCAA basketball post season knows that the winner of most all conference tournaments get their conferences automatic bid.
