What are these numbers from?

Maybe another corporation will ante up. Fans damn sure aren't.

If they aren't taking it seriously by fixing the coaching issue, I ain't giving them any money either. Basketball is getting my NIL money for now.

I don’t keep up with this so can you explain what this means? Is this state recruiting vs money we can spend?

Throwing good money after bad, as mamaw would say.

As most are along with baseball.
As I said, some corporate entity must step up.
The last 20+ years of fail coupled with the shite economy weighs heavily on fans donation levels.
Hell who knows, when Sam gets shitcanned maybe we can catch lightning in a bottle like State did with Merlin's

Is this their own estimate? Or do they actually have good data on NIL payouts? I’m skeptical that these numbers mean much…

Or their current coach with his juco haul. Can’t wait.

If I understand correctly, it is a correlation between the % of players from in state that are on the team, and then the Nil valuation average of all players...

Thanks, I know we don’t have many in state recruits and I have no idea how that all works out. I do know the portal is very important to us now.
I’ve known of many Arkansas kids dating back to the late 60s and 70s who didn’t pan out so searching elsewhere is very important to try to keep up.
We can’t go back in time to the days of developing 3 stars for the long haul unfortunately. Times have changed and there is no magic wand out there to make 5 stars in abundance be attracted to us.
The last big haul came when Petrino dominoed with in state talent but that type of class is very rare. Burks was our last one and he was a difference maker.
Those guys were huge for the program and we just haven’t gotten many of them in a while.

Yall keep saying “what he has to work with”.
The dude is making $6M/year leading a multi million dollar football program.
You don’t think he is partially responsible for building the donation strategy and delivering the results that would add additional donations and interest?
He went 7-6, 4-8 and is 6-7 currently and has pissed away countless winnable games.
Are you really trying to say Sam’s results are a function of our NIL and not the other way around?
Our NIL sucks arse because of Pittman. Period.

can you in good conscience, say this again?
Hy, my man... HY! Fought the nil principal from the beginning... Took it to congress to complain, became a leader for the ANTI NIL crowd.
I went to hear him speak at Heber last year... He sucked concerning the new college landscape. I do not blame a coach hamstrung by his AD, and Lack of budget for being mediocre. Again, i would be fine with a change.. and even welcome it at this point. But NOBODY worth a damn will come with the NIL valuations of the above. And with the settlement, it isn't feasable period.

As soon as the Supreme Court ruling came out I looked to see what moves we were making. It was radio silence for like 3 years. We simply don’t have competent people to see us through the modern era.
Part of me doesn’t mind. I loved college sports but they’re being destroyed.

First time in my life that the NFL is a better product than CFB. Probably happened a few years ago but it's taken me a little bit to accept it. If I'm watching professional athletes with no allegiance to their program, might as well watch the best.
Throw in the fact that there is real parity in the league, and you don't have to sit through 25% of games being teams paid to take an L.
CFB tossed away its advantages with the playoffs, destroying the tradition of bowl games, conference realignment, the transfer portal and NIL

That is heresy Reverend. The board has convicted Pittman of any and all sins committed by the Razorback football team. Including losing the 1969 game to Texas and World War II breaking out causing Bear Bryant to join the Navy instead of being our football coach.
Personally I think Pittman should ride off into the sunset... while also acknowledging that with his contract I'd tell everyone to kiss my fat behind and make them pay out the yinyang to show me the door if I was him. As would every single poster on our board. Unless one of y'all is secretly a Walton. In which case you'd be obsessed with bike trails not football.
Yurachek is going to be loathe to fire Pittman though. Unless a big donor swoops in to foot the bill the fact of the matter is that we are a break even athletic department right now. At best we will generate a few million bucks in surplus, at worst we'll lose a few million. shite canning Pittman and the staff is going to cost a lot more than that.

The exact reason he wasn't fired this season. That stupid HY contract was dumb af and now we are paying for it. Hell, he might not get shite canned next season either.

He won't.
He will be here for another two more seasons.

I think Yurachek and Pittman had one thing in common. We hired both of them to stop the bleeding. Long had really screwed things up. Choad had really screwed things up. Well, things are only slightly screwed up now but I think Sam and HY have both hit their ceilings. Things aren't going to get any better with either one of them.
But, again, without someone with a ton of money to spend, we aren't getting rid of either of them because we're stuck.
