I know Phil Steele always touts himself as the best and puts out a book of info every year based off of his prediction models. He has us as the 28th best team in the country but in a three way tie for 5th in the West and playing in the Birmingham Bowl.
He did say Arkansas was all over the board in his 9 Power Rating predictor models and could finish anywhere from 6-2 to 2-6 in conference.

I always considered Steele as 'the most educated guess' out of all the magazines put out, but even he whiffs some.
There are just too many unpredictables and intangibles that come into play in the overall outcome.
I am thinking that our DB's play will be much improved this coming season, thanks to Rhoads identifying and correcting head and eye technique. Nothing aggravated me more than a DB never looking for the ball. Something as simple as this could have won us at least one other game last year, maybe two. (MSU and aTm)

We are either going to surprise a lot of people or finish somewhere around 6-7 wins.
It all comes down to QB and OL play. I hate seeing people(hogville homers) ignore that fact.
The truth is we wont have any idea until the first game is over. You should have a pretty good feel for the team after that game ends.

I'm not buying the Anderson hype until I see his OL on the field. I've seen numerous folks over there claim he is an upgrade over Pittman. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm with you there I'm not listening to any of that shite. No smoke going up this tight, firm, healthy adult arse.

I believe we will struggle. There's no way AA can play at the level of BA last year and I think we need that.

We'll need it if our defense doesn't step up
But our defense is supposed to be better, so...

Well he'll have one of the best groups of receivers in the SEC to be throwing to. Keon will also be back.
The defense should also be a lot better so he may not have to play at the same level as BA. Of course this part is just conjecture but we're #1 nationally in returning production on defense so I'm pretty sure they'll be better.

Really believe our season will come down to oline play.
If they can gel it'll take away many of the perceived weaknesses of some of our skill players.
Our defense in my mind won't be an issue and special teams will come down to blocking, not letting kicks get blocked. I'll be very surprised if that's still an issue this year.
