He fell down tripping over his own feet three times in row, causing severe Stan Heath "Fresh Legs" flashbacks.

Vandy - 33.3 percent - 12 pts
Kentucky - 28.6 percent - 13 pts
@Mississippi St. - 15.3 percent - 5 pts

All after this 34 pt explosion at Ole Miss.

The most frustrating thing about him is how many open looks he's been missing. Now granted I'm sure he really has to run a lot to get open, but that's what good shooters do.

He just needs to change something up. Get his confidence back, because we need him to be better for this teams post season hopes.

And I'm not even going to get upset with his cement feet anymore. It is what it is this season. I just want him to be more consistent.

His ball handling is why he won’t be drafted. His shooting isn’t elite enough to overlook how bad he is with the ball.

He's injured. Looked like an ankle or foot to me. Something is clearly bothering him and he didn't look comfortable all night.

Could be.

As a previous "shooter" I know that slumps happen, especially mid season. When they do, you have to take a step back, stop forcing it, and shoot what is open. It also helps to bring the ball down a little bit in your shot motion to get a lower release point, which helps overcome the dead legs.

He'll pick it back up before season ends. Question is will it be soon enough to matter for the post season.....

Knee. Some dude on 247 said his buddy is a staff trainer and said he hurt his knee. He thought he would miss a game, but it seems he is still playing, but he obviously is off

It doesn't matter. We were never going to beat Miss State and Kentucky. Joe would have to shoot 70% from the arc for us to beat teams that out rebound us like Kentucky and have the inside game of a Miss State. I hate being right. But I said we wouldn't beat these two teams earlier in the season.

BTW I loved the adjustment Muss made against State. It didn't work but he did try some double teaming. Thats what this team was recruited to do. So Kudos to Muss for doing things to try to create turnovers. We are in good hands. We just need some inside size.

That doesn't mean we will be world beaters next year. Some of these very talented young guys are going to have to learn the system. And our interior guys are going to have to beef up. Patience grasshopper.

Oh and Joe will be fine. Yes he needs to work on his handles. And he also needs to stop shooting the ball when he isn't set. He's done that a lot lately. Just pass the ball out and reset the offense. Don't take off balance shots.

I disagree. Joe converts on 2 or 3 of the wide open 3's he had against Miss St and that's a game we win. Kentucky was the same. When you're a jump shooting team you're going to have games where you can't hit a shot. Next game we could shoot 12 of 15 from the 3pt line and win easily. We need offensive balance - we just don't have the talent to have it yet.

Too early to issue one for Chelsea Dungee too?

The men's suckage lately is infesting the better hoops team on campus.

Joe has one game and that's the 3 pt. shot. Stop that and you stop Joe. The better SEC teams have it figured out. With little or no inside presence we'll struggle when Joe can't score.

TCU game on Saturday is huge, sold out and we need a win, if not the season could go south fast with USCe coming to BWA next week.

Unless the Hogs can either keep the rebound margin close or shot lights out, they are going to struggle. Yes the defense will keep them in most games. That has been the biggest improvement with Muss.

The good news is that help is on the way. If we continue to recruit like we are and hang onto Muss we are going to be a perennial top ten team.

Miss State and Kentucky are too much for us right now. And Joe going off on either of them is unlikely bc they have big enough and quick enough guards to defend him.
