What a failure he is here. Not sure how anyone can defend these home losses to bad teams.

Not defending the loses, just saying Mike hasn't lost back to back games at home until yesterday since 2012, so the Bret Bielema compariaon is asinine.

Mike's mediocre, Bret sucked balls- those two aren't the same.

Agreed. Pretty hard to make this comparison. I truly believe that Mike will leave the program better than when he found it. I don't think we can say the same for Bielema.

Mike is what he is and nothing more. Nolan Richardson he is not. For all of his faults, Mike wins more games than he loses, and that alone separates him from Bielema.

Neither one will have accomplished anything other than wasting talent with their time here. Both seem to find ways to lose home games to inferior opponents.

In fact, I think Mike is the worst of the two. Bert had to coach in a stacked football conference. Mike coaches in one of the worst hoops conferences.

Mike's never had a losing season. You are either trolling or racist, because you can't be serious.

Oh yeah, I forgot we can't be dissatisfied with Mike or we are racist.

Build the statue and give him a lifetime contract.

I'm going to assume we're all dissatisfied with Mike- at least to a various degrees, that still doesn't mean he's as bad or worse (not worst) than Bert.

If we're being objective, and for the record I hate Bert with every cell in my body, Bert had a much harder path for success here than Mike does. We held on the Bert one season too many. We have held on to Mike for at least 2 seasons too many. He's never going to win big here and he has a much easier path for success.

No doubt. But, Bert also failed at historic levels (0-8 and 1-7 conference records). Mike has not failed like that. Pelphrey's 2-14 conference season is probably the functional equivalent.

Mike has a high floor, but a low ceiling.

I'm sorry I forgot that 3-9 and 16-16 are equivalent! Dude, it's not even remotley close. Mike is the better coach by a mile and a half and it takes a special kind of ignorance (troll or racist) to deny that. Hate on Mike all you want, but don't compare him to the fat man. It makes you look like an absolute retard.

This is true but it's also not saying much.

This is far more accurate. In-state boys with a legion of fans that had bright moments but were largely middling.

That was a good post you linked. I'm sure Mike is better than I give him credit for, but at least Nutt had us in a bowl almost every year. Mike barely gets us in to postseason. That's what pisses me off the most.

I get it. What really frustrates me is that the Arkansas basketball program was once a national power and the potential to return is still there. Football will always be an uphill battle in the SEC given the size and demographics of the state, but the basketball program has proven to be second only to Kentucky in the conference.

I like Mike, but I just don't believe that he will ever win anything of significance. I would love for him to prove me wrong.
