Macon was inserted in the Miami starting five and played over 23 minutes, manning the shooting guard spot alongside Derrick Walton Jr., Derrick Jones Jr., Duncan Robinson and former Kentucky big man Bam Adebayo. He started off the contest with an assist for a three and a pure three-point make of his own, continuing to shine the rest of the way. The 6-3 sharpshooter had an impressively efficient night, finishing with eight points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 66.7 percent from behind the three-point arc.

In addition to his scoring, Macon flashed his underrated playmaking abilities, dishing out a team-best 11 assists. The Little Rock (Ark.) native ran the offense with immense confidence on multiple positions, whether as the primary ball-handler in pick and roll scenarios or on the wing. The Heat were led in scoring by Jones Jr. with a game-high 21 points.

I hope he makes a roster somewhere. I loved me some DM. That South Carolina game last year with him going off was incredible.

In his third start in five games with the Miami Heat NBA Summer League squad, former Razorback guard Daryl Macon continued his recent success, leading the team with 17 points in a 94-90 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday afternoon.

Macon played over 30 total minutes throughout the contest but used a big surge in the third quarter to put up the game-high mark, scoring 10 points (4 of 6 shooting). Along with showcasing his usual deep-range shooting skills, Macon also completed an impressive reverse layup and showed high-level hustle in the period. Beyond pure scoring numbers, the 6-3 shooter from Little Rock (Ark.) displayed a well-rounded game, recording six rebounds, five assists and a steal as well.

I'm surprised this didn't cause a major reaction. Guess we are all still numb.
