BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A residence hall at Lyon College will have a new type of tenant starting in the fall. The college has announced it will allow pets to in Bryan Hall.

"Starting fall 2018, we will welcome pets on our campus. With plenty of open space for dog-walking and many sunny windows for cat-napping, Lyon's campus can serve as a great home for your best friend," the college announced on its website.

The college has put guidelines in effect for students to follow.

According to Lyon's website, only full-grown dogs, and cats under 50 pounds will be allowed to live in the pet-friendly residence hall. The cat or dog will need to be registered with the Director of Residence Life and meet the registration and inoculation requirements.

Anything to make more money. Tuition is only 14k/semester not including housing and food plans.

I appreciate updates on Lyon college and others. Why does everyone think this is a UA at the Fayetteville campus board

If politics wasn't played, Fayetteville would have Lyon college and Batesville would he home of University of Arkansas.

Instead Batesville got Lyon college and a dry county.

Fun Fact: Lyon college you can drink on campus. Including on the way to class just can't have it in class.

Yes.

It's the wettest dry county in the state.

People say that about every dry county

Further evidence we need to abolish the anachronistic practice

Tough. Wasn't all about politics though. Washington County had a reputation for education before the Civil War, dating to Cane Hill College

Also interesting LR didn't submit a bid, especially considering how hard they pine for a UA connection today. I guess the capital was full of backward rednecks even back then
