We were playing from behind the entire game. As for the defense, I don’t know enough about Alabama players to say, but I do think I know enough about Nick Saban to say he would use whatever personnel he needed to keep us from having success.

Arkansas spotted Bama 28 points in the first half. The defense sucked but the offense punted five times and turned the ball over on one drive.
That first half ended any hopes of an upset.

We were within 5 points of Bammy... 3rd Quarter man, 5 freaking points.
We had an opportunity, BUt our Defense could hold a fricking 3rd and 15.. 70 yards later.
Both sides of the ball at fault here. But if we had a medium defense period, we would have won that game imho.
Defense breeds offense, Offense breeds defense. BOth side laid down and allowed the loss to simply occur. Pathetic.
This btw is on the players mostly!

It is also a coaching problem. That fourth and one that led to a delay of game penalty. The players played scared because they let Bama intimidate them and the coaches coached like they had something to lose instead of nothing to lose.

Not making excuses but there were 3 miss holding balls up the middle of the field on that run. All guys who could have made the tackle.
We just play weak though as I used to get dirty when guys held me. Cup check, tackle them and put my forearm on their neck as I fell ln top of them. We have to learn to play dirty just like they do.

Us being a 10 point dog to a ranked team on the road is n the sec is not the same as losing to western kentucky, north Texas, and San Jose state all by double digits

I don’t think anyone has done that. Better than KJ and better for the team than KJ are two different things. If we remain a one dimensional offense, there’s probably only two or three wins left on our schedule. With an effective passing game, plus our effective running game, we could win out.

You’ve gotta bring in Hornsby and just cut down to the very basics. This offense isn’t nearly good enough to get away with having 10 players on the field like it’s 1991.
