Somehow, a brain dead portion of our fan base doesn't want Malzahn as our coach. Just beat the #1 team in the country.

How did he lose to lsu? Look I'm not against him to the point i wouldn't accept him. I just hate that he can't develop a qb. It's the sole reason I'm against hiring him. I'm not sure how he would do with less talent though.

I’d take him if he as an option. I’d love to see what someone who prioritizes recruiting and is good at it could do here.

Wanna get really pissed off? The only reason we didn't hire Malzahn 5 years ago is because he was at Arkansas State. Had he been at literally any other school in the country we would have hired him. The administration was worried about the optics of hiring a coach from Arkansas State.

We didn't hire him because he hadn't done Jack shite, and half the fan base can't stand him.

Nutt was here like 8 years before anyone knew who the frick Malzahn was.
Are you trying to say that Malzahn should have replaced Nutt midstream?
Like, we should have fired our head coach and replaced him with our offensive coordinator who was sowing seeds of discontent behind the scenes and was generally disliked by every single person in the athletic department at the time?

It's just one reason. Jeff had the opportunity to hire Malzahn, he didn't because of politics, and now our team is shite and Auburn is beating the #1 team on a huge stage. We look foolish.

I don’t think that I ever went on record as wanting Gus over any other coach that was available. With the talent we had on campus, Gus could have made an immediate impact and his style of play fits our recruiting base.

I've never understood the hatred of Gus.
Envy? Sure. His teams have clownfricked us two years in a row and they're competitive more often than we are.

I get why Rev doesn’t like him but why the average fan is so adamantly against the guy has always been beyond me.
We always frick up a good thing though. How much different would our story be if we had hired Jimmy Johnson, Tommy Tuberville and Gus Malzahn instead? It’s depressing to think about, honestly.
