I just have a hard time believing Pittman knew about the allegations. As a dude that's suspended players for next to nothing, he's going to throw it all away for some backup quarterback who was never going to see the field?

I seriously doubt he knew about it but he will be blamed one way or another.

Briles will 100% be the scapegoat as he should be. That's his group and he had direct info about a potential issue. Pitt very well may have never known. Plus Rape and Briles just go together.

Optics are bad and we have NO IDEA of what the actual events occurred because we weren't present.
Lebby (who was at Ole Miss) and Briles are family and the Briles family has history where Renfro is from in Texas.
The impact this can have on a life made me think back to Solomon Thomas' sister.

Official statement from the university:
“Upon gaining knowledge of the allegations against a student-athlete earlier this week, we immediately informed the University’s Title IX office of the allegations. The student-athlete is no longer a member of the football team.
After being made aware of the allegations, we notified the relevant offices on our campus. Due to FERPA student privacy regulations, we are unable to provide more information at this time.”

As I suspected it took them a couple of hours to check things and then they dropped the hammer. That is how you handle your business as an Athletic Department.

He was literally one of the most expendable asset on the team. This wasn't a tough call at all.
It's the Jimmy Johnson rule in full effect, regardless if he was/is innocent or not.

This is going to die, and it will be brought up by random activist as being swept under the rug. The reason is that the person that is running the account is throwing every football player under the bus without proof. When she is asked for proof, she says believe all women I have proof. Then show your fricking work. If it’s true, let’s find a tall tree and a short rope. But she isn’t showing proof. The rape kit is going to take 6 months to get back blah blah blah. The university police is controlled. Then go to Fayetteville police. Go to the county and keep going up and until it’s taken serious. So this will all die because you can’t do a scatter shot. You need to keep it narrowly focused.
All that being said Kade Renfro seems like a giant piece of shite, who used girls. But in every post most of the girls say i consented, or I didn’t say no.

Nah, folks are just getting held more accountable now. There was a time when a well-placed phone call could have made this all disappear, and you'd be none the wiser.
I knew a guy who got the shite kicked out of him at a bar by a fullback. The next day Houston Nutt and Frank Broyles show up at the guys duplex and say your next two years of school are on scholarship if you sign this paper and NDA.

He got arrested on 2nd degree murder charges back in 2013.
He was found not guilty but got arrested again. I don't remember what it was.

Harassment or stalking, if I remember correctly. It was like a week or two after the murder trial.

I looked up a lot of players during the 2001 and 2002 seasons and many have been arrested and some are currently in prison.
