Exactly. If we had played hard and lost people would not be so upset. Mike has to find a way to motivate his players for those games.

If it means riding them hard during practices and even harder during games then so be it.

I don't have a clue what practices are like now but I attended a few back in the day of tBear. It was total brutality.

I seriously doubt that Mike brings the same intensity. If he does it isn't translating to the court.

It's early, I get it but in year 7 with a senior laden team we shouldn't be losing to the likes of State and Auburn.

Nolan use to have them run the track with sand in 5 gallon buckets.

There is one hill near campus, can't remember the name of the side street it is on, that is damn near vertical. I know he used to have his players sprint up that hill several times.

Not sure but you might be talking about the other side of maple hill going down Sunset to Wedington the slope on that street is pretty steep

I know what you're talking about. I lived there in the mid 90s in an apt on Eagle Street. A couple of blocks away was a pretty tough hill that had a stoplight about half way up. I drove a Ford Ranger with a manual transmission so I had to hold it with the clutch. It would stress me out because cars would get right on my bumper at a red light.

And Mike has them run it a lot. 5am and what not.
