Even including today's loss since the 2014-15 season Mike Anderson is 15-14 in SEC road games, second only to Kentucky. Mike's doing a great job, calm down.

Ahhh, yes. Embrace mediocrity. Lots of tourney wins sprinkled through that time period too. Oh wait!

It's ok for Hawg fans to expect more from our BB program than what we're getting.

This team should be able to go on the road and not have blow out losses to Houston and then drop road games to MSU and Auburn. If we can win with 6 seniors then get ready for next seasons flop.

Because going to the SEC tournament championship and close loses to UNC 2 of 3 years is mediocre right? GTFO with that nonsense. This is the best run we've been on in just about 20 years. You're obviously still stuck in the 90's.

I don’t think I’ll try to justify a 30 point loss to Houston, a loss to Miss State, and a loss to Auburn. Our program, and college basketball as a whole, is a shell of its’ former self.

You must be part of the participation trophy generation. I'm glad that close losses are good enough for you. Stuck in the 90's isn't an insult to me. I was there when we were great.

Never said they were, only said that it's the best the program has done in almost 2 decades and that's just a fact so I find bitching about how Mike is performing to be really stupid.

Well, it's obvious that winning isn't important to you. Go ahead and coddle Mike. I'll go ahead and complain about losing.

Lol the entire point of this thread was to remind people that Mike has been winning. I'm not coddling Mike, you're coddling your memories, sorry bud.

Winning what? Two NCAA tournament wins in 6 seasons. I'm glad that's good enough for you. Low expectations are easy to reach.

This is what happens after 8 years of the Obama/Long regime. Fans forget how to win anymore.

We just have to be there to show them that it's ok to want to win.

Oh I am sure we will play better in March and all that other stuff and we are the second best team in the SEC behind Kentucky most years.

That having been said, its hard to get really fired up about being 1 game over .500 on the road in a conference that really isn't noted for their basketball teams. Yes, this year the conference looks to be much stronger, but that doesn't exactly inspire confidence considering how we have done when the conference isn't looking good.

You betcha people are getting tired of looking like we can beat anyone in the country at home and in most neutral site games... and then looking like we are just going through the motions on the road. When the conference is down we can get away with that in road games.

Well the conference isn't down this year and if go out playing at half speed we are going to get whipped.

I, and most of the rest of the folks here, aren't saying Mike needs to go and he's doing a lousy job. We are saying that if we are going to be anything other then a better then average SEC team we need to start showing some fire and passion on the road.

If it takes JCP starting to give off that Angel of Death vibe she was doing at the end of Bielema's stay here then so be it. Somebody needs to light a fire under Mike and the team's behinds.

We all want Mike Anderson to be a huge success here. We all want him to make a final four and win a Natty. He needs to get his team playing better on the road or its not going to happen.

I don't think Mike is the biggest issue. I think there's a serious issue with effort in some of our games. Why did we beat Oklahoma? We forced NINETEEN turnovers. We forced possibly the best PG in the nation into 4 turnovers alone. Auburn as a whole turned the ball over 9 times all game. MSU even less at 7. We've lost the turnover battle in both games we've lost this week. When we win, we are flying all over the place. Every passing lane is contested and there isn't a single inch of space between us and the guy with the ball at any time. When a pass is thrown, someone is already moving to cover. That hasn't happened the past two games at all. We played lazy as frick on both offense and defense last night.

It's not that we lost, it's how we lost. There's a major difference in falling short to UNC like we did and the garbage that has been on the court the past two games. We looked unfocused and unenthused. NO ONE was moving without the ball.

I'm wondering if there isn't something wrong with Barford. The guy has all the talent in the world, but lately he has seemed off. He is getting beat by his man regularly and his offensive presence is absent for most of the game. He usually plays hard down the stretch, but the team needs him to play that way for 40 minutes.

I think the team takes their cues from him and if he isn't going full tilt neither are they.

Macon played 38 minutes last night. Went 3-11 from the field 0-5 from 3 and had 2 assists. Oof.

Yeah. We need Macon to be on his game in order for our team to be at its best, but I think Barford is even more important to this team. He is the leader out there, and I don't think he has been giving it his all.
