We should at least be good in SEC standards. It isn't that damn hard to finish top 3 in this league right now. Especially over the last 5 years.

Okay, I see your point because you are going to use how many players we lost as the reason for that.
Lets say we had recruited well and were prepared for at least Portis and the seniors to leave after last season. Possibly using the "oh shite I better get JUCOs" last season instead of this season tactic that Mike did. But instead, he signed one player and chased a pipe dream in a kid that wasn't going to qualify.
I understand your point, I do. Though, I would think you have to understand mine as well. It was never a surprise we would lose at least 2 seniors last year, unless Mike is just that bad at keeping up with his players. After Portis started having a SEC POY type season, it wasn't hard to figure out that that we were losing 3 players, 1/4 of the way through the season.

I like you too. And I agree mike is to blame for the lack of recruiting, fully, without a doubt etc. Also, I think it sucks that Whitt is leaving (even tho I didn't find hum overly impressive this season but he has time to improve).
Now let me repeat my mantra- mike's getting one more year regardless of how I feel about his recruiting. If we suck this year and he's not getting canned then I'll be seriously pissed and probably then be calling for long's head. Even if we do well but lose half the team and don't have a good class coming in I'll still be pissed.

Yes, we actually performed better than a majority of fans/media expected but I agree that we should never be picked to finish in the bottom half of the league. Mike has to put us in a better position than that every year.

It is just not that hard to finish in the top half of this league year in and year out. You do not have to recruit on Kentucky's level even, to be able to finish top 3 or 4 in the league.
I mean, look at Vanderbilt. They have probably taken advantage of a down SEC in basketball more than anyone else. Half of their NCAA tourney appearances have come since 2004. They haven't been world beaters, but they've been good enough in a bad league to make the tourney. They usually play sound basketball, as the rest of the league doesn't.
Arkansas doesn't have to be some super talented basketball team to make the tourney out of this league every season, or at least 2 out of every 3 years. The league as a whole, just isn't that hard to win in.
What does have to happen, is you can't lose on the road to really bad teams. You can't lose at home to Auburn.

Agreed but Mike had improved the team ever single year before this one. There really isn't any debating that. It might not have been as quick as everyone wanted but the team was improving year to year. I don't excuse this year because of that but he is going to get another year and imo deserves another year.
My biggest concerns with Anderson have always been his recruiting. He has a solid class coming in but they might suck, no one really knows. I'm not ready to fire him yet though. If next season is a disappoint then I will change my tune.

I already have, it's like 90% people shite talking Mike. I read through it before I posted that question. I still don't know exactly why you bumped it. I'm guessing it has to do with some of the shite talk on Whitt and him having a career night last night, but by saying "read the posts" and the vast majority of those posts having nothing to do with Whitt specifically I don't have a damn clue.
