Jeff Long is more concerned about making money than winning

We are adding onto a stadium to sell a crappy product. It's almost like a casino. It's fun to go and you'll win a few times, but casinos aren't built on winners. The goal is to keep you coming back no matter what. Long is trying to make it possible to accept mediocrity. He doesn't really care if we win as long as fans keep showing up and he gets to keep building things.
All I ever hear is "we are keeping up with the arms race", but what's the point if you're not doing everything to win? I don't want to hear the disadvantages of winning here. When you start talking about disadvantages then you are making excuses. If you don't like the disadvantages then play to your strengths and start thinking outside the box.

Umm doing the expansion is doing exactly what he can to help with winning. It's giving us the resources to compete with our competition that is doing the exact same thing. I can't see the issue here.

Jeff Long should be taking some heat but not because of this. Also fans are not going to just keep showing up. The stadium looked pretty bad in the 2nd half when it was a one score game.

That's bc nobody has any faith in this staff. Then they go shite the bed and back up what most fans think of this team. The fact that we were an underdog at home to TCU in year 5 is completely unacceptable to me, and I would hope the majority of fans. There was zero excitement for this season and that reflects directly on CBB and the way Jeff Long goes about running our program. Sad times on the hill

If they lose next week.. The remaining games at DWRRS will probably set all time lows for attendance.

Yep, I understand being pissed about Bielema. I understand being mad about the buyout and our horrible record under Bielema.
I will never understand being mad about a self funded stadium expansion/renovation that will help with attracting better coaches/players. However, the issue for many is the location of the renovations. Sink that money into that shite-hole in LR and you don't hear these complaints.

That money needs to go to a coaching salary. The one advantage we can have is paying some coach a shite load of money.

Winning or not, isn't Long's job to ensure that the athletic program is ran cleanly and grow revenue? He's doing both of those.

We need to take the money that we use to play in wardump and use it on the buyout.
Travel, lodging, and food plus the millions we lose in revenue would help cut into the buyout.
