Pittman is seriously going to need 4-5 recruiting classes to get us back to the level we were under Nutt.

This is a rebuild from the WORST run of Arkansas football in our history. Not just Chad, but Bert and John L. Smith as well. We have been bad in the past. We have never been that bad for that long in the history of the program.

It is going to take some time. But, for once, time seems to be on our side.

We let a qb go 75% on our defense

It helps that the SEC refs allow Arkansas DLine to be tackled by OLinemen.

Get no pressure so eventually a schoolyard breakdown comes about.

Been done since last year.
Briles had a decent linemen, and his offense would be unstoppable. Seems like he is afraid to call certain plays since they false start every time.

Giving up 28 to leach isn't a disaster.

I’m as frustrated as anyone by the severe lack of blitzing, but giving up 28 points against Leach gets you at least a “B” rating on the day.

I am not going to be as easy on Odom...

I have sit back and watched folks bash Briles all season long.

Yet, We show the same dang defense every game after hearing "multiple" bs.

Against Ole Miss, it was definitely a defense problem, you should never have to score that much and more to beat Ole Miss. Good Lord folks. COuld we possibly blitz a bit more, show some weakside power, I mean, what in the blue hell.

I think ODOM is ok, just OK, and I am aware of lack of depth, talent... But if we treated Odom and Briles the same by comparison and achievement... well?

Briles can go bye bye too. His first down calls suck and his razzle dazzle plays are too cute.

Those plays that didn't work still set up big plays later on

They were holding all game. Giving up 28 points to this offense is a hell a lot better than the usual 50 points plus.

The defense just doesn't have the players to be any good. That is a fact right now. But in this game they were good enough to give the offense a chance to win.

The problem with blitzing an offense like that is they would have destroyed the defense in the middle. A 3-2-5 is perfect because you try to keep them in front of you as much as you can. It worked most of the game as they were scoreless in the first quarter.

Really? Ole miss and state were both held to way less last year and they ran the exact same offense. Our defense should’ve only got better since last year. But the problem is we didn’t make any adjustments from this year to last and so both teams came in and knew how to attack it. We need to be able to adjust as well.

His play calls in the red zone suck arse. It's not about execution. Thank God we have a field goal kicker.

This game shouldn't have been this close.

ETA : is the OL so damn dumb that they can't stay in there stance without moving before the snap.

Hell we’re lucky state didn’t have 37 on us and no dumbass there’s nothing he can do when the offensive line is getting whipped consistently

Those teams are better than last year and so is Arkansas. Matt Corrall and Will Rogers are hard to put in check. Very explosive offenses that good defenses have and will struggle with.

Not the fault of Arkansas that state had a shitty kicker who choked and Cam little missed one.

it appears our defense has regressed some but I believe it is more on us not changing up our looks vs is getting worse. And that is my main gripe with Odom. He’s a good coordinator but he needs to mix his looks up

The defense from last year to now are the same. They hit the portal hard last year and will have to do so again. This staff will do just that and JUCO until they can get better depth on both lines.

Arkansas can change DCs but they will still have the same talent and depth problems.
