But so should you motherfrickers who defended Starkel, especially the “we would’ve won the Ole Miss game with Starkel” idiots.

We have a shite ton more fans who need to be apologizing to the Allen brothers especially Brandon.

That is a hate train I never understood. Those boys played their hearts out and were damn good most of the time. Austin got a little mouthy toward the end but I'd have been pissed off too if my line couldn't block 3 man rush.

We were all in wait and see mode when Chad got hired. Some of us just saw enough a lot quicker than others.

My opinion on Chad was formed by spending a lot of time with him. I was at every practice, every press conference, etc. since he got here. I was convinced early last year that he had no clue what he was doing. It just took some of y’all longer to come around because you bought into the bull shite coming from the university.

I TRIED TO TELL YOU. Y’all didn’t listen.

This interests me. Please divulge some factors that lead to you believing he was a dud?

I wasnt anywhere near live practice or near any of the coaches, but it didnt take me long to by watching practice videos and seeing his terrible coaching decisions and performances last year and that told me all I need to know. What were some of the red flags for you?

I hated that fricking hire. I've cooled down since, but he needs to retire.

Festivus must've come early this year, because we're airing our grievances around here tonight.

And now we heal

There are essentially millions of people who work in the modern economy whose entire job is use historical data to make projections about the future. It's called forecasting, and it's not just for meteorology. JB Hunt and Walmart have thousands of them on their own. So I'm not buying that argument

Bielema averaged 10 wins in his last 4 years at Wisconsin, including 3 straight Rose Bowls. Impressive on paper, how did that work out?

You know, info like this would go a long way towards helping your arguments in future discussions.

Inability to handle a press conference was the first one. We were told that he never had to do real press at SMU, there were only a couple writers from the student newspaper and no cameras. He never had to be accountable to the public.

He hired his buddies as assistants and gave them huge salaries. These guys have no experience at this level. I thought if he was serious about being successful here he would have hired a real staff, but he cared more about getting his friends a big payday.

His family still lives in Dallas.

Petrino was fricking terrible in pressers, Bielema had the room in his palm. That shite is irrelevant to coaching.

You mean he didn’t want to uproot his son from his friends and teammates and playing on one of the premier high school teams in Texas? What a terrible father.

These two points sound personal. Did he fire you?

No, the other poster asked for red flags. Chad can’t look people in the eye and answer a basic question in a press conference, that’s a red flag. He’s in over his head, which is what I’ve been saying for a long time.

I’m lucky enough to not work for Chad.

Again, pressers don’t mean shite. Bert was great with the media. They loved him. Hell I met him once and he was awesome. How did that work out?

Mic drop

So Bielema had a pretty stellar record, but there were extenuating circumstances involved and he went on to fail with SEC resources and competition.

Saban had a pretty pedestrian record at Michigan State, but there were extenuating circumstances involved and he went on to become the best coach possibly ever with SEC resources and competition.

So yes, while statistics matter some (overall record), they don't mean everything when it comes to hiring a coach. This is why some felt like Morris needed time to show what he can do, even though his previous statistics weren't good.

Can we all agree that this is reasonable and settle our grievances now?

Is this the part of the thread we start bowing down to everything Texas football?

Tired of the fans doing that all the time

14-22 at SMU didn’t give you pause? Morris hanging his hat on a wide receiver, who more often than not walk on to campus with the ability to be an all world receiver, coming from someone who is supposedly an offensive guru? Talking about a high energy, innovative DC, and then hiring Chief?

The smell of bullshite was unmistakable, very early on with this guy, and I didn’t spend a fricking second with him.

Let's say I'm hiring the next CEO of JB Hunt

Here are your strategies:

1-ignore all numbers, hope and pray. Give him forever and wonder why it doesn't work out
2-hire the guy who grew revenues 5% in 2017, 6% in 2018, and 7% in 2019. Ignore that it was at an oil company half a world away
3-dive a little deeper, since we're paying him millions and this should be professional process
