It can be difficult to separate different arguments in a thread when things get a little heated. And to be fair to the guy that targeted you, he has taken alot of heat in the past for Leach so he is on edge alot of the time.

Yeah, I was being argumentative. It's an old, silly habit.
I almost always use language making clear when I know there is no way to know for sure, based on information at hand, that what I am saying is 100% factual, that what I said is my opinion.
On the other hand, a lot of times if I'm making a prediction about something I'll state it as if it's fact.
Again, apologies.

They actually do have some decent history with Mike Price. They have historically been awful but the 90s and early 2000s were great for them (by their standards) under Price. They had 3 straight 10 win seasons from 2001 to 2003. Granted after that it took them 10 years and Leach to win more than 6 games but they do have a glory period and Mike Leach is not the pinnacle of their program, that was Mike Price.

He lost to an in state FCS school last year or the year before, Eastern Washington.
I love Leach, but our fanbase would eat him alive the minute he dropped a game to UCA. That in my opinion is why it wouldn't have worked

Not really. Did I like the idea of Leach or Kiffin? Yes. I liked them for their full body of work. Not 1 game. I also am glad we went in the direction we did with Pittman. The ship sailed on the others. Move the frick on with your retarded posting.

That whole simpleton rant was actually aimed at me, because I said Leach was second tier compared to Kiffin. I didn't bother to give it a response, but Mike Leach is a guy with high highs and low lows. I would tire very quickly of losing to an FCS team during a 9 win season, or following up an 11–2 season with a losing season. Truthfully, all of you would tire of having zero consistency and no ability to predict how good or how shitty the team is going to be from year to year, because the guy is all over the place and you never know what to expect.
Leach has been at WSU for eight seasons. Four of those eight have been years he's finished with a losing record. He's finished ranked one single time. I'm not sure what to tell all of the Leach supporters. Is this really what you want? Not what you'd settle with after everyone else fell through, but is this really what you're clamored for as a first choice?
The numbers don't lie. Mike Leach isn't the coach he was at Texas Tech. He's just not. It has yet to be determined if we're going to kick ourselves for picking Pittman over Kiffin, but I thank God every day that our administration, as stupid as they are, aren't stupid enough to follow Chad Morris with Mike Leach.

Also his hot take press conferences would only be endearing for about a season or two but the weird shite would get old when he continually gets his arse whipped or loses a game despite having built a 30 point lead.
Mike Irwin would have had a blast asking him who would win in a fight between Geronimo and Black Beard but beyond that Leach simply would have been a slightly funnier Bielema. Also - if we have reporters losing their shite over Coach Pittman being a gentleman (referring to a young woman as a young lady) then they would absolutely melt if he made the fat girlfriend speech or the sanctimonious troll tirade. Hey... but at least Leach said wms was loud that one time

The people who say his "whole body of work" typically just mean what he did at Texas Tech + his best season at Washington State. He never had a losing year in ten seasons at TT. He's had four of eight at WSU. WSU and TT are roughly equally difficult places to win at, so it's not like he left as HC at Oklahoma and now he's at Purdue. He's clearly just not the same caliber of coach, which wouldn't inspire confidence in me if he came here and tried to play against Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and Texas A&M every year, plus Georgia and Florida on the cross divisional rotation.
