Dan Enos:

His offense in 2015 averaged 6.83 yards per play and had a completion percentage of .658. During the 2015 and 2016 season, Arkansas was one of two teams that featured a 3,000 yard passer and a 1,300 yard rusher. Both of those seasons included a different quarterback and different running back. Enos also coached Hunter Henry in 2015 who won the John Mackey Award as the nation's best tight end. In 2016, Arkansas was tied for second for the most offensive players drafted (5).[

His offense in 2015

Do you know how much schemes have changed since 2015? That is an eternity. Bama was just staring to warm up to the idea of not running it 65-70% of the time. Now they run a pretty much wide open offense.

In college football if you're not adapting you're dying. However Arkansas can not afford to just adapt. They don't have the talent to compete in that way. They need to be innovative.

Look at the years when we were successful. Gus Malzahn running something the NCAA hadn't seen. The Petrino years when Bobby was using a power spread and merging it with west coast concepts. That's where our competitive advantage lies.

I feel as though we may be taking a step back with Sam and Enos as a pair moving towards a more traditional approach. I liked the contrasting styles of Briles and Pittman to offset each other's style.

I hope I'm wrong but we will soon see.

the problem is that Sam and Briles did NOT match. The results prove this to be so, to some extent. IDK if Enos will be successful this time, or not. But man, I sure enjoyed his QB work last time.

If he has evolved a bit, look out.

Enos’ offense at Maryland didn’t really look like it did here though. I think it will be closer to Jalen Hurts Alabama

Enos isn’t even running the same offense her ran in 2015.

Saw a clip with one of the fat talking heads here on the hog trail, he was bragging that Enos is running a swing pass to the running backs like Mike Leach. He didn’t say, that’s what Briles did and KJ wasn’t accurate on swing passes, he didn’t say that’s what Gus did for years. He just talked about how new and innovative it is now that Enos is doing it.

That’s why you shouldn’t listen to any Arkansas media.

Never quite figured out how you got a job like this. There didn't seem to be any discernable talent they had
