For the record, fully open to the idea that Drink turned us down as well.

Just find it hard to believe we'd offer him over Pittman head to head but the floor is endlessly low for us at this point.

I guess we will see what Pittman's contract looks like but Mizzou, if the 4m number is right, really over payed for him

Money talks. Everyone has a price. We just weren't willing to shell out the money. Bottom line.

If that was true I think the Aggies would have lured Saban in with a 25 million a year contract by now.

I feel all this will subside when we actually see the rest of the coaches and they start landing recruits.

Then the Ole Miss job opened up and Kiffin/his people said you know what? I'm going to shop if you're going to shop.

Sexton is Kiffin's agent. He was going to shop around the instant the OM job came open.

I love those who say we went the cheap route.

3 mill/year + incentives. 7.5 guaranteed. Dead last in the sec. Not top 50 nationally.

Doesn’t get any cheaper than that.

Per my Memphis sauce Chris Vernon apparently said our interview with Norvell went as badly as it could possibly go.

Norvell very salty about being offered the job in and was ready to tell his team in 2017 and then booom. We announce Chaggit.

Several media guys — who, granted, don't know shite — have said that at least one of our interviews went very poorly. The further we got into this search the more I figured that was with Norvell given that we'd passed on him 2 years ago when he was a lesser known commodity and now were coming back hat in hand with our program on much worse footing and his stock at an all time high.
