Maybe we are doing this search all wrong, think of the marketing if we totally flipped the model on its head and became the first ever "crowd sourced" football program.

Hire position coaches only, no coordinators or HC. Then every game there is a series of three 1-800 numbers to call to choose which of three computer selected plays we run. We only have maybe 20 run play options, 20 pass play options and a couple specialty plays. The one with the most votes is what we do. It costs $1 to vote. We would save a fortune on salaries, get the same 2-8 (+/-2) results, our fans would feel highly empowered and we would attract a huge national audience of people to watch the first reality TV football team.

We could actually market ourselves as "America's Team". Plus all the new revenue from voting which we could use to fix our problem in a couple years after admitting that it was a horrible idea and we were "too far ahead of the curve."

/s. (but kind of serious about the total lack of giving a damned right now... Bring on baseball).
