I see one article written 9 months ago about high school football.

Maybe he's a writer for his high school paper and they picked up the story.

This is about to get mispelled for a few years.
Bielema's name really confused our fan base.

Yeah but he does actually write for USA Today. He's not Barry McCocknier. Despite the funny sounding name the man is an actual sports writer.

Let's be fair. You may have corrected him after the 2014 season. Bert was a rollar coaster. Was he bad? Yes. He messed up what should have been back to back 10 win seasons. Potentially could have even had 3. But did he have some good games/play calls and make some fun, memorable moments? Yes. Fake Punt against A&M in 2014. Going for 2 against Ole Miss in the 4th and 25 game in 2016. Probably a few others but those are the most notable that I can give him specifically credit for. I actually have a lot of positive memories of Bert's tenure mixed in with the awful. But what did Chard do? What good memories do we have of Chard? Not a damn thing. Why? Cause Chard caused NOTHING but pain. Absolutley, not one single positive memory. What a fricking embaressment. Chard was so fricking bad that I damn near feel like calling Bert Bret again because I don't want to put him on Chard's level.

Botching the 2014 season was Bert's biggest failure. That team was loaded

Had he won the two choke jobs vs mizzou and va tech that is a 9 win season. I would have been elated myself with that. Don't know about you all.

We had no way of truly knowing that at the time but I 100% agree that he messed up a great chance at 10 wins that year. We were still very happy with Bert at the time tho. That was my point. No one wanted to fire him after the 2014 season and you wouldn't have not corrected someone for mispeonuncing his name because he sucked arse, you just would have not corrected them cause you didn't care. Big difference.

Yup I made a thread about it shortly after he was fired but it would've been interesting how 2017 would've went if Bert had not choked against Mizzou & Va Tech. We would have gone 9-4 and for 3 years go 7-6, 8-5, & 9-4. The expectation would have been a 10 win season or bust, so if he failed that hard in 2017 he probably still gets fired but yes. I remember being happy with the opportunity to get to 9 wins and that the next step after that is 10.......and then I ended up being very pissed off when we ended 7-6.

Probably would still be coaching here if he had won 9+ that season like we should have.

I know a guy who always calls the Auburn coach 'Malathion' (with a silent 'i' like the insecticide), and never gives one hint of a smirk.

And if anyone corrects him, he politely thanks them and still does it.
