Rumors on the hill from when we fired Chaddy is that the bonds for that dumbass stadium expansion were already putting our program under financial strain.

When the inevitable happens, and 2020 football is cancelled. Will our athletics program make it financially? I'm assuming many colleges will drop athletics all together.

We have money and plenty of it.

Even in our down years our football program still finds a way to generate top 25 profit:

70 million has already paid off the stadium expansion.

AND money is so good that we are already in the process of 3 new athletic renovations/buildings:

https://app.oxblue.com/open/universityofarkansas

Not to mention the new Student Success Center and Civil Engineering Research Center.

It's nice having alumni who care:

https://campaign.uark.edu/

The programs you need to worry about jonesboro tech, little rock junior college, and conway school for the dumb and dumber. Those other instate athletics programs live off of tax money and student fees. They are leaches and cancers to the state with how much money they take from our taxes. Unlike the Razorbacks who receive zero tax money or student fees and who actually give money back to campus.

Funny how when we expand our stadium or do a renovation project everyone trailer trash dumbass sky screams "muh taxes muh taxes" when in reality the only programs stealing your taxes are building waterfalls and puke educing purple stripes.

Let's not leave out the fact that little rock college is in the MF'n hole. They are running a deficit that should embarass the state worse than our football program. It's so bad that they are having to shut down satellite locations (Benton) and make budget cuts of over 2 million dollars. They are also cutting around $500k from the athletic budget in the form of scholarships.

So yeah..... bring this topic to their message boards (do they have message boards) if your really are worried.

Football won’t be cancelled. Heck Arkansas will be back to business as usual by mid May.

UofA is prepping for online only classes this fall semester.

But sure, we'll be business as usual in mid may lol. We probably won't have even peaked cases by then.

That's a very long post, that shows fy budget, and some random year's profit.

None of those reflect a balance sheet. Enron said the same thing lol. These numbers mean nothing.

You made the claim that we are in financial strain (based on some trash clown rumor) ..... prove it. I gave you info showing the amount we are bringing in. I've also showed you our new construction projects. If we were under financial strain we would have stopped some of the projects that were started in the middle of the outbreak. Those donations can be invested and set aside until we are on better financial footing ..... IF your bs claim is true. But it's not so here we are pumping more money into the program. My bad.... I said we..... I meant donors, season ticket holders, and alumni.

It's also interesting that you don't address the issue about the other instate schools falling apart.

I know that it sucks that you couldn't get into The University of Arkansas but there is no need for you to wish ill on our alma mater and our Razorbacks. Focus on your own shite school and program.

BUT if you truly are concerned then feel free to contact the Razorback Foundation or you can donate here:

talk is cheap

ADD:

I'm sure you will start praying/wishing for the season to be cancelled and for Yurachek to announce budget cuts so that you can be proven right and so you won't feel so shitty about your G5 program. Really pathetic.

Yurachek Interview

Yurachek discusses finances. Talks about the loss of millions due to refunds and loss of concessions in baseball and talks about how we are not currently making budget cuts and how we have reserves to keep us financially stable.

Yurachek reaffirms that our baseball (and other) construction projects are on target UNLIKE Baylor who had to cancel their projects. We are blessed to have great donors and season ticket holders who are willing to donate their money to their program. Many of our season ticket holders gave the money back to the baseball program..... I know that probably pisses you off but we have great fans. Those great fans have put us in an a rare position to where baseball is self sufficient.

With all that being said - everyone knows that football is the bread winner. Bama will be just as bad if not worse than us if they cancel football. Unlike you most of us will hold out hope that the football season goes as planned. I hope you find happiness in life beyond wishing the worst on the Razorbacks and The University of Arkansas.

That makes zero sense.

It caught my eye as well. I do not believe that about the U of I. The only thing I can think is that they dont spend as much, but they just did massive overhauls to Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center, which is the Assembly Hall to me still. They were selling ticket packages dirt cheap this past season with meh crowds for football.

I dont know much about Utah though, so cant argue there.

This says we peak on the 30th. Are we going to have more infections when people start interacting again? Yes. The curve is only meant to be flattened so our hospitals don't get over whelmed. They will have had 5 months by September to have all the ppe and ventilators. If they don't have it together by then, they never will. If you are waiting on a cure, they've been working on the common Coronavirus since the 50s.
