We’re good as long as we beat South Carolina on Saturday.
Win vs SC gets us in the tournament
Win vs Vandy or State gets us out of the opening round
If we lose @SC we probably need to win @Vandy

Here is how I see the possible scenarios playing out...
Arkansas Resume
Record: 17-11
SEC: 6-9
vs. Q1: 4-9
vs. Q2: 2-2
Bad Losses: 0
Marquee Wins: Michigan (neutral), @ Kentucky, Missouri, @ Texas
@ South Carolina
- Win and likely in now. Next two determines play in game or not.
- Lose and likely out OR you have to win the last two.
@ Vanderbilt
- Win and you replace Vandy on the teams safely in the field
- Lose with a win at SC and you are still in, but likely still on the fringe of the play in game.
Mississippi State
- Win this after winning the prior two games, and may be looking at a 9-10 seed, maybe better?
- Lose and possibly no harm done if it is the only game lost.
Explanation with no word salad
- Go 3-0 and likely looking at the 9-10 seed range
- Go 2-1 with the lone loss NOT being SC, likely safely in and in the 10-12 seed range.
- Go 1-2 and likely out unless you can pick up another Q1 win before weekend in SEC Tourney.
- Go 0-3 and the Hogs are 100% toast.
Now there are several outside variables to this as well...If Texas and Oklahoma keep losing, that is good for Hogs. Georgia picked up a nice win this week, so would like to see them lose maybe at South Carolina. I will list fringe SEC teams we are competing with below and their closing schedules.

Truly amazing turnaround.
For games played in the month of January we were the 94 ranked team in the nation according to torvic.
For February only games we were 17th. Keep the February thread going.

It doesn't look like we can get any higher than an 8 seed without some signifiant help, so we're in a weird situation where winning out might not be the best outcome.
Dayton might even be preferable to an 8/9 seed this year.

I think the situation is slightly more favorable than this.
2-1 and it looks to me like we're locks, regardless of who the loss is to
1-2 We're likely in but in Dayton
0-3 Realistically we're out but some projections still show us sneaking. It's not 100%, especially if we could win a couple of conf. tournament games

Give me a 10 or 11 seed all day long over 8/9. 8/9 is the worst path ever.

Well that score wasn't what I expected to see when I flipped the game on.

Dude has got to be tipping his pitches. That was rough.
