Ozark has been killing it lately.

Love their stuff.

Here's a cool little logo picture I found on Twitter of all the craft breweries in Arkansas right now.

I'm glad the craft beer scene is finally starting to take off in Arkansas. I'm a big fan of Lost Forty and Stone's Throw in tRock, but I have only tried Fossil Cove in NWA. I've heard good things about Core and Saddlebock and would like to try them next time I head up.

Saddlebock's beer is pretty meh, imo. Core is alright, but I think that Fossil Cove and Ozark are pretty much at the top of the NWA scene.

So wrong, Saddlebock is at the bottom Ozark and Apple Blossom are above Core. Rumor is Core stole Apple Blossoms brewer.

FYI Ozark has the APA in cans now, took a case to the river last weekend.

Agreed that Saddlebock is low. I do like their brewery out in the middle of nowhere. It's a fun place to visit and have some drinks. That being said, their offerings are pretty poor for the most part. They taste very amateur, imo.

Ozark is putting out the most polished, professional product in both taste and image. Their branding is winning all kinds of awards (Joey from BLKBOX is damned good), and their two canned beers are very good (they're now offering the Golden Ale as well as the APA).

You're correct on AB's old brewer, Nathan Traw, going to Core. The Flyer did an article about it:

Have the Belgian Golden in cans now as well, which I don't like as well as the APA.

First of the breweries to release a year round farmhouse/saison in bottles or cans that I like (Saddlebock's Fayettechill Farmhouse doesn't do it for me) will win my unswerving devotion.

Ozark has a saison now. I'm not sure who all has it on tap, but you can get it at the Brewery. Sunday afternoons are great at OBC when they have bands playing. I recommend it.

Heres news about Core's tasting room coming to "uptown" Fayetteville. I like the sound of a 1400 SF patio overlooking the Mud Creek trail.

Awesome that Core is continuing the trend of craft beers on the bike trail. Makes for a nice stop between Fossil Cove and Apple Blossom on a Bikes and Brews trail cruise. Unfortunately, I probably won't get out that way much. Hell, I actually really like AB's beer AND food, and I rarely go due to location. My brain just doesn't seem to extend north of Township whenever I'm thinking of places to go to sit down to eat and drink.

Same. I make exceptions for sports bars and Art's place occasionally when I feel like drinking under the specter of possibly getting stabbed.

Well that area might soon turn into its own "real" part of town. Specialized Real Estate is about to break ground on some cool apartments near the Malco. Walkable, urban-type stuff. Core's new taproom will be a few blocks away via trail from this.

Are they breaking ground? That's great news. I keep forgetting about that project.

It is all approved by the city. They've gone back for a few minor tweaks recently, but AFAIK everything was approved. Yeah, it will be a gamechanger for that area, IMO. I think the changes requested were to make the tallest portions slightly taller. 5-stories in some sections I think. It will change the whole feel of that neighborhood. SREG netted like $20 million on their Sterling Frisco project. They must be flush with cash, and banking every other thing they do. I only expect more ambitious projects from them.
