Did Mallett win the starting job with his performance yesterday?

After scoring 10 points all day under Hoyer, Mallett led Houston to 10 points in two drives. Finished the day 8-13 with 98 yards and a TD. Think this will finally get him over the hump?

Thought he had it for sure until that last drive with three incompletions in a row, but overall he looked good. Made two big time throws with the TD and 2 point conversion.
McFadden looked good too with his 4 touches

Yeah I wasn't happy with how little Dallas used McFadden. I think he'd really tear some defenses up with that line blocking for him.

I doubt it this early after naming Hoyer, but lets hope so. The city hates Hoyer. Mallet represents some hope.

I think it's inevitable. Hoyer has a ridiculously low ceiling.
He is and always has been the "safe" bet. You can understand why Obrien named him week 1 starter, at least I can.
Assuming Mallett doesn't shoot himself in the foot (which he has been prone to do) he should have it by this week or next.
As for McFadden, that was bullshite. He looked way more explosive than Randle and he picks up a blitz with the very best of them. Randle straight wiffed on 2-3 blitzes.
Hopefully McFadden gets more against Philly, Coleman was shredding them a bunch last night. I also would like him catching passes, that one 20 yarder he had where just just burnt the LB covering him was sick. You don't see that much in the NFL.
