Well yeah, they were paying Saban $10 and he was bringing in $50m a year in tickets, enrollment, food, hotels, booze, etc…
That’s why I don’t understand why we’ve allowed the last two AD to push Olympic and women’s sports bullshite. Yes we have to keep them because of title ix. But we don’t have to dump tons and tons of money into it.
Is it because Long and Yuracheck were completely incompetent when it comes to Football, basketball, and baseball? The sports that can and do make money? Yes.
Why hasn’t he hired a football GM yet? He is 4 years behind that right now. Why hasn’t he hired a money management firm in ARKANSAS to run the NIL? Is it because he is a failure and should be fired for cause? Yes.

We’re over here about to go winless in the SEC for about the 4th time in 10 years and we’re saying no to a guy averaging 11.5 wins a season.

They weren’t just incompetent; they showed zero respect for the program’s history. They dismiss our past and our fans, expecting us to settle for mediocrity while continuing to fund them as if we’re still a top-25 program.
Too often, our biggest boosters have been fixated on hiring coaches with Arkansas ties, all while allowing two carpetbaggers to infiltrate and drag us down from within. The Athletic Director absolutely needs Arkansas roots and a genuine respect for our history. For the head coach, though, that’s secondary. What matters most is finding the right leader to build a winning culture, implement a strong system, and attract resources. Arkansas ties are nice, but they’re just lagniappe at the end of the day.
