Woopig, I'll ceed some ground if you want to say Morris deserves credit for his QB evals. He does seem to have a knack for that and finding the diamonds in the rough

Yall are missing the point on Morris, and others like him for that matter.

I don’t think any of the guys associated with him were highly ranked or heavily recruited by top programs. Who gives a shite if they aren’t NFL ready their rookie season if they are producing in college?

And it appears he continues to find guy that excel in his system. I don’t know if he’d make a great HC here but no denying he can produce results at QB.

That's true, but I would worry about hiring a guy specifically for that ability, just because those types are so rare. You could go 4-5 years without there being QB as good at Mahomes/Ward that are rated that lowly. We could be moving on to Barry Lunney by the time Morris finds the next guy.

He chose Tech over Rice. He wasn’t a generational prospect lol he was developed into one.

I’ve said this all year. I’m just in awe of the BP for HC people that think he’s gonna go hire an elite defensive staff. He’s gonna hire his family lol

He hasn't waited around.

He had Chaggy's son last year who is going well at UVA this year after being a bust in the making at TCU under Kendall.

He replaced Morris with a guy who was a backup QB in HS true freshman who is now one of the top QBs production wise in college.

He's basically a younger version of Petrino in QB development.

Or you can argue it's the offensive system and the QB doesn't matter as much like Briles had at Baylor or Jones at Hawaii and SMU.

Either way his teams have produced offensively consistently with lesser talent on paper. So if the group listed he stands out the most.

He's OSUs #1 target as he's likely the next Gundy.

His potential DC is crushing it as a HC right now so that might not be a bad thing.

He wouldn’t take the HC, just the DC. I saw Tramain Thomas is a position coach as well.

Every team in the NFL passed on Brady 5+ times. Doesn't mean he wasn't a generational talent.

fuuuuuuuuck no! If we fired Bobby for dabo just kill the fricking program. Invest it all in basketball.

Unless he gets venables back then maybe. But he would have to seriously seriously seriously overhaul his out look on nil

He was an excellent coach pre-portal and pre-NIL, but we're not in that era anymore.

As he will not embrace the portal or NIL, he's a dinosaur in today's coaching world. He's stuck in the past. No thank you.

Should of just kept Sam at that point. Their outlook on NIL and making sure everyone on the roster gets their piece of the pie has lead to middling results everywhere it has been implemented.

Dabo is anti transfer portal. His competitive edge was being able to recruit at a high level and pay guys prior to NIL. basically what Bama was doing except Saban can actually coach.

He’d fail here miserably.

Devils advocate: people said Cal wouldn’t adapt either before we hired him

If our money people believe Dabo would change & just needed a fresh start, there could be something with getting Dabo.

Kentucky fans said he wouldn't adapt. Cal had been talking about the need to have an older roster for several years.

Dabo says if you don't like the job he's doing fire him and pay him his money.

This isn't the same and totally different mindsets.
