Golesh will do fine at Auburn. He's a heck of an offensive mind.
However, if Golesh can't get Dirkin to sign on the dotted line, Silverfield needs to offer DJ 1.5 million to come coordinate the defense here.

Durkin would be a homerun.
Which means we have no shot.

Durkin isn’t likely to stick around at Aubie, he’s looking around now.

I will say this.
I was not happy yesterday.
After sleeping on it and doing a little research, I am a little intrigued and optimistic about Silverfield.
A few things that stood out:
- He started coaching at 18
- Was a DL coach at 20
- Was a HC at 23
- Spent 7 years in NFL
The main thing we needed is a real COACH. He seems to be a seasoned HC that will be able to recruit and raise NIL.
I won’t be drinking the kool-aid until I see some WINS, but I will call myself cautiously optimistic for now
Crazy he started at 18

Memphis DC Jordan Hankins is NOT expected to follow Silverfield to Arkansas, per someone close to the situation. Silverfield is expected to find a DC with more SEC-based experience.
Durkin Durkin Durkin!!!
Also, good evidence that Silverdick knows he can’t pull this off with G5 coordinators.
Jim Knowles may be getting a little antsy as well. Penn St. still hasn’t hired a coach.

It’ll be interesting to see how Auburn does going forward, considering they basically just got the staff a lot of fans were hoping & planning on.

I expect they’ll be in the playoff hunt next year or the year after. Primarily due to keeping Durkin and adding an offfense. Though I will say Golesh isn’t a Time of Possession guy ( somebody posted that here I think) so we’ll see what impact that has on their defense.

I hope so. One thing about RS radio interviews that brought back some bad memories was his comment about coaches reaching out interested in a job. We heard that twice from the last 2 and ended up with less than impressive assistants after being told otherwise.
