I guess HY can start making renovation plans to reduce capacity in RRS.

He can help us into our transition to the sun belt conference in 2030

Morris was never offered.
HY had Morris below Ryan fricking Silverfield on his list.

If you’re gonna post confidently like you know what’s going on behind the scenes because you’re in some discord chat…
Gotta take the heat when you’re wrong

We didn't get Golesh (though I imagine he had real interest in the job, we may have low balled him on salary) and Chesney looks to be going to UCLA so we got... Silverfield.
Silvie didn't look that bad as a choice earlier in the season but as the year has gone on he's shown his *ss quite a bit. At the peak of Memphis football, when they enjoy an advantage over everyone in the AAC in terms of money and access to talent, they've been surpassed by two recent additions to the conference.
Okay. That can happen. The two recent additions, however, are Army and Navy. Two service academies knocked Memphis on their butts in a weak conference. We play teams with a wee bit more talent than Army or Navy.
Right now this looks like Pittman 2.0. Every couple of years he will upset someone, he will win most of the games he should win, and lose almost all of the games he should lose. Most years we will go to a small bowl and win because at the end of the day we do have real talent.
I'd rather roll the dice and take someone like Brent Vigen from South Dakota State in the hopes he could somehow replicate the magic he was part of at North Dakota State.

You could sell Morris on the offense .
You could sell Womack on the defense and ties to the school.
HY does not have to sell his hire. He tells you who is hired then goes to Dallas to chair the playoff committee.

Media is given the "give him a chance" march and they are marching.
frick all of y'all, chances were given for the past 2 hires and initial reactions were proven to be true.

If we have a losing record next year I could see us firing him and Yurachek after 1 season and letting someone else pick a new coach. Thats how bad the reception has been to this hire

If you attend games next year you are part of the problem. Keep you mouth shut. Eat the shite HY is feeding you and like it.

There is no point in us staying in this conference. It would take a miracle for us to go above .500 in conference play… and what do we get out of it? Money? To hire a coach on the hot seat at Memphis?
The benefit of being in this conference should be that we have the capability to make a serious hire… and we get morris, Pittman, and silverfield
