Common sense says, Because he hasn’t been hired. A UARK system employee is not going to break this story and definitely wouldn't do it prior to USF’s final game. To much at stake for Golesh to release it prior to their game.

It is very weird that we would hear that it's a done deal, according to Schaap, before any reports of it being in the works.

I hope not. He is probably one of the best coaches out there in general and in particular in this cycle.
Hopefully the Lane shenanigans keep others like LSU, OM and UF from driving the contract prices up and not realizing Golesh has more upside than the other candidates. Let them all wait on the drama queen, I think our fanbases have both been burned by that dude in the past.

It would be very Arkansas for this to come out, this drags out until the weekend/after the weekend, Lane goes to LSU/Florida, and Golesh picks Ole Miss over us. Or Florida panics and gives Golesh and insane offer.

His wife still works in Arkansas. So I highly doubt he backs out at the last minute. She is involved in nursing homes in the River Valley and NWA.
